One MAJOR Suggestion
Great app just one BIG suggestion. Could you add support for voice recognition libraries and audio related stuff?
Good but...
It needs to run faster, if you take out the auto indent, or put in a manual indent. It would make it run a lot faster when editing. I can only have about 300 lines of code before it gets so slow it crashes. Please fix.

I started to learn lua myself so i got this app to do so. What is great is the pre-loaded programs which really helped me. Great app

You have to buy a 6 dollar in app purchase to be able to do anything other than text creations.

Although slightly costly, a good quality and well thought our App.
Having not done any programming since university computer science about 20 years ago, I decided to get back into programming as part of a plan to get my son interested in it. I was advised to try out Lua and therefore looked for an App that i could code in Lua and found this one. This is exactly what I was after and seems stable and professionally done. Additionally it links directly to some on-line wikis and has a small library of example programs including access to more programs written in Lua via an app blog. The editor is well designed and recognises and colours the syntax. It's not cheap relatively speaking and the draw library requires an additional purchase (seems similar in function to Love2D for PC but is specialised for iPad such as it being able to recognise screen touches and swipes) but if you have the time and desired to program in Lua on the iPad this is worth it.
