  • Good at first glance

I had to contact the support team because it would not use the currency for my region, even though it is on their list. The problem seems to be in the fact that they don’t know the monetary system. The system I use doesn’t haven’t dollars and cents.

Only solution is to set region to a country like japan.. which the. Makes the whole iPad system off time.

Still looking for a reasonable solution because the app looks promising.

Hello Chef! Thank you for your review. For in-app currency, we use the same region that you set in your device Settings. To use “US dollars”, simply set your region to “United States”. Or set region to “Japan” to use “Japanese yen”. If you’d like more assistance, please contact us anytime at support@getfillet.com. Thank you!
  • Feature request? Display total recipe weight

Awesome app! Will it include the option to list the full weight of a recipe in the near future? It already does the total calories, but an automatic listing of the total weight would be awesome to quickly calculate shipping costs.

    Thanks!
  • Great App

Super useful and time saving...if only I could export my data, even for a nominal fee, but this app is great
  • Seems legit

I just can’t seem to find the way to switch up the language. I’m using the app and my aunt and grandma want to use it too but don’t know English. It says it’s in 10 languages but I can’t find the way to do it :/
  • how do you add nutritional value??

  • Awesome app to help small business

This app is perfect to help starting and small businesses on how to calculate cost for their products.
  • Very Helpful

FIrst time I had ever changed a review. They were super helpful. Still need to better with being compatible with other devices, but soon enough.

  • Not what I expected

Everything was ok until scanning the products or ingredients was a flap. I was putting all the data until this scanner flopped. So I tried manual and check if perhaps it’s just couple of items. Well it’s all the items are not recognized.
  • Misleading, non-functional, and Useless

I purchased this app to try and facilitate the management of my Food Truck and Catering business after reviewing the on line reviews and their web site. I was gravely disappointed upon trying to actually use the app. In my opinion, it is not worth what I paid for it (free).

First, when trying to import recipes from an existing tool - There is no documentation for this process. I have e-mailed the developer through their support desk several times with no response. Without this functionality, I have to have an employee sit and manually enter every recipe. There is a share feature that also pops-up in iOS to somehow add things to Fillet with no documentation or apparent functionality.

Second, It clearly indicates above that the USDA database is available in the app off line. Whether on line or off - the database is nowhere to be seen. For me, this completely negates any possible value from the app. Part of what I wanted from the app was the nutritional analysis. If I have to enter the nutritional data (never mind the densities) for every possible ingredient I use - this just doubles or triples my workload.

At the end of the day, this App looks like a basic framework put together by someone with a good idea. It’s just poorly executed and feels like a playground project thats not completed. For now, I will just delete it.

    Summary:

    1. Missing data clearly advertised in its write up
    2. Non-functioning data imports and share functionality
    3. non-responsive support
    4. labor intensive - will cost me more in migration than its limited functionality is worth

  • Must have works awesome

Wife and I are building a menu for a business idea we’ve had.

This app makes knowing food cost a breeze.
