We've been guilty on neglecting Cook's Memory, and we're sorry. So we took a new look at the program and rewrote it from the ground up. We've simplified a lot of things and eliminated functionality which, in retrospect, seems to have been unnecessary and/or unwanted. And we've added a bunch of new features which we hope will make the program feel easier and more natural to use. So what's new? - The original Cook's Memory was built for iPads only. This version is designed for both iPads and iPhones, and has been optimized for iPhone 8 and iPhone X. - A lot of the complexity of the original Cook's Memory was due to an excessive degree of customizability. We've simplified all that and it's made the program much more intuitive to use. - We've updated a lot of the user interface to use more modern elements that you'll find familiar and easier to use. - We've totally changed how the process of finding things works. A major goal of Cook's Memory was to help you find things, but it turned out that finding things was unintuitive and clumsy. We've changed all that and we think you'll like the difference. - Many screens contain help tips (black circle with a white question mark). Tapping on a help tip displays a few lines of useful information about using the screen.

Price History of Cook's Memory

Description of Cook's Memory

Most people don't want to spend their time and energy copying recipes they already have into an application. Seems like a waste of time, right? But can you always lay your hands on a particular recipe when you need it? Cook's Memory does not store recipes; rather it stores information about recipes, including where to find them. If you enter your favorite recipes into the Recipes Tab (which should be much faster and easier than entering the details of the recipe itself), then Cook's Memory can help you find a recipe you want, pick between recipes, and help build a menu. Cook's Memory is all about preparing and serving meals - to yourselves, a small group or a multitude. It is a place to plan your events (what to serve and who to invite) as well as documenting the event (what went well, what could have gone better). Cook's Memory maintains a list of people who may be guests to a party. It does so for two reasons: 1. It is much easier to select guests by tapping names from a list than by typing in each name. 2. We can record additional (relevant) information about each guest, such as a food allergy, dietary restriction, or preference. After all, you don't want to serve someone a dish that will they don't like, can't eat, or may make them ill.
