  • Pirate Fun

The book is fun to read and the interaction delights young children and adults. Very creative and not too violent.

  • Every thing locked

I have other story toys apps and they are expensive and annoying, but this is by far the worst!! Just opening the app you are immediately asked to pay $24.99?to access the content! Luckily having run into this with StoryToys I looked it over before letting my six year old get frustrated and start asking for me to pay to unlock content! Very annoying especially since Story Toys send an email saying since I was a user they had a great new “free app” for us to use! Unfortunate this group is so greedy with children involved! Lastly, I have had to contact Story Toys about the apps I pay for because they stop responding from time to time!

Hi Waldoh1. Very sorry to hear you're not happy with our apps. There seems to be some misunderstanding here. StoryToys Pirate Princess - the book and all the games and activities (exactly as outlined in the App Store description) are indeed absolutely free. What you are referring to here is the option to purchase eleven other StoryToys storybooks (along with games, activities, stickers and jigsaws) individually or in a package. This does not in any way affect the Pirate Princess, to which you have full free access. Hope that helps. Please email support@touchpress.com if you have any further enquiries.
  • A fraud.

Don’t waste your time, find another app.
    The app says:
Unlock all FREE, but you are charged $24.99.

Hi oscarnakal, Apologies for the confusion here. It seems that you are getting the 'unlock all free' information from the App Store description under Top In-App Purchases. At the moment the app is temporarily free, so it is accurate information. But we have just added more in-app purchases which do not yet seem to be appearing in the description. Many thanks for bringing this to our attention, it's much appreciated. We are looking into fixing that now. The new in-app purchases are for unlocking other books (as well as games, activities, jigsaws and stickers) in the collection. Hope that helps! If you have any more queries please email support@touchpress.com. Thanks! The Touch Press team.
  • Ridiculously difficult

A pirate reads one page, then your kid needs to navigate him through hard to see waves while he can be hit by them one after the other, and a smoke screen after being hit that remains too long, making you get hit again. Hard for adults, impossible for young kids.
  • In app purchases after paying so much to buy it

The unlocked features are way too scarce for the cost.
  • Most Content Locked Behind Paywall

I recently bought a bunch of apps for my kids for a long plane trip, out of the 10 or so this is the worst and she hates it. The story and games are fine, nothing amazing, but what bugs me is that 3/4 of the content is locked behind a paywall. For all the games they literally give you access to 3-4 things then the list of locked content goes on and on. I find this type of business practice insulting and this is the last product I buy from StoryToys. I may be more forgiving if the price was cheaper, but this feels like a free app with in-app purchases. The base content is NOT enough to justify the price tag.
