Reviews of LocaMath

  • Great Math App

I love the concept behind this app, including the way each problem is worked through in more than one way, which is great for visual learners. That being said, the app seems to be made for children at a pretty high reading level, and requires a very high attention span, When I, as a parent, began to lose patience, I had to ask myself, how many children at the targeted age are going to keep their focus? I a would like to see the developer address this in future updates,
  • Great math problems, but advanced reading

LocaMath: Level I is a well developed app that supports early math word problems. Although the math problems align well with core curriculum for 1st and 2nd grade, the reading ability, fine motor and attention required for completion is for a much oder child (3rd or 4th grade?). I am sure this could be used in a classroom setting or for home schooling lessons, but the advanced reading and attention needed, pretty much rule it out for child independent use. I do recommend it for those scenarios, but not for independent play. It might also be sued to improve reading/math skills in adult learners trying to improve their foundation.
  • Very useful!

A nice app that explains to kids math concepts, nor just tests. Plenty of word problems to
