  • $9.99/month?

$9.99/month for a timer app? What a joke.

    Developer Response

What are you talking about? It’s $0.99/month or rather $4.99/year for all features, which is quite reasonable.
  • Design Updated:(

Worst update ever. It was so much easier to change and update timers with the previous design

    Developer Response

Sorry to hear that, I think it’s much clearer and easier to use now. Can you tell me what’s causing you issues so I can try to improve it? You can reach me directly at support@voidstern.net.

  • Trial won't quit and not long enough.

A three day trial simply isn't long enough to download it on think about getting a timer and then waiting until I actually have time to try it out before purchasing it. A week seems like it'd be minimum for busy people not to skip giving it a try for this reason.
The three stars is because I had to force quit it when I wanted to back out.
Good luck multiple and repeating timers is definitly a needed niche. When/if you change these two things I'll definitely give it a go.

Also a timer isn't something I expect to need to have a subscription for. So I expect unless it's wonderful or with a clear growth path I likely wouldn't keep it long and just create my own.

Good points, thanks! I do have quite a list of features for future updates, including a complete redesign, new Apple Watch App, Apple TV app, my own syncing backend (+ maybe a web interface), new widgets, Spotlight Integration and more. You can expect at least monthly updates.
  • Fantastic. Best multi device timer. Sync is fast and awesome

This works on all iOS and macOS devices and watchOS. Timers and be created and edited on every device. Start a timer on the phone and finish it on the Mac. This is the best. To make it better it can add albums or pages so I can have cooking timers on one page and work timers on another.
  • Best Usability

Dev seems to have taken care of bugs.
  • iPhone good enough. No watch

Tha app works well enough in my iPhone. Setup is logical and intuitive though swipe action is a bit over sensitive.

It doesn’t show up on my watch, however. That’s the main reason I pay for a timer, and I can’t use it because it doesn’t even show in the Watch app. I’m using WatchOS 5.3.2 on a second gen Apple Watch, and can’t find anything saying that’s a problem.

The watch app requires watchOS 6.0.
  • Buggy timers. And sounds don’t always play

You can only run a repeating timer once. After it runs for the set number of times, no matter how you try to restart or play it, it doesn’t work.

AND the alarm sounds don’t always play if your phone is on silent mode. Like if the app is in the background they usually don’t play.

Fix the bugs and this gets 5 stars. But it’s basically unusable at the moment.

Third party apps are not allowed to override the silent mode with notifications, unfortunately. I do try to play the sound as music to work around this, but this is only possible while the app is open. I'm looking into your issue restarting repeating timers, but I haven't been able to reproduce it.
  • "Timer has finished" notifications on Apple Watch

Apple Watch recommended this app on its new App Store in WatchOS6. However, if I set a 1 hour timer, and pause it 45 minutes through, 15 minutes later when the timer would have ended, I am still notified that the paused timer "has finished." When I open the app, it's still paused like it should be. Please fix this and this app will deserve 5 stars. The capability to have more simultaneous timers than you'll ever need for free is a huge plus to this app.

Thanks for pointing this issue out! I'll fix it in the next update.
  • Keeps prompting to upgrade

Works well. Paid to remove adds but keeps prompting to update/subscribe/unlock more features.

    Developer Response

It’s a free app without ads, I need to make money somehow. (Also it’s not a subscription, it’s a one time purchase).
