  • The most poorly coded news app of all time

    Slow about sums it up.

    Developer Response

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing slowness while using the app. There are 2 common solutions for this that you can try. The first is opening the settings panel and tapping the "Data Usage" option. If it's not already on, try enabling the "Download editions while reading" option. The ePaper is very detailed and has large images which can take time to download depending on your connection type and speed. Enabling this option will download pages in the background while you're reading to speed up your experience. Second, we recommend using a fast WiFi connection when using the app for similar reasons as mentioned above. If you're not on WiFi, try connecting to a reliable WiFi network. We don't recommend coffe shops or public WiFi as those are often slower than mobile connections. If you're already using WiFi, try using the app without WiFi to see if the WiFi connection you've been using could be slower than expected. If you still experience trouble with slowness in the app, please email us at onapps@coxinc.com where we can work with you directly. Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us and I hope this helps you enjoy the Springfield News-Sun app.
  • No longer working

Won’t allow me to sign into the app. But sign in on the web works. The link to contact the app developer doesn’t work either.
  • Love reading my hometown paper

I still feel like I never left when I can read the Springfield News Sun
