  • Great App

Like to track daylight, and this fits the bill.
  • Good app for hunter and fisher

I used this app to figure out what is best time to hunt and to fish to tracking the sun and moon. Also good for ranch work, so you know what exactly time the sun rise and sunset.
  • Difficult to change settings

Couldn't get purple pin to move so look on a different site for longitude and latitude coordinates. Now I can't change it from Central time to Eastern time. HELP!!!

    Developer Response

The App Support button here in the App Store, Ratings & Reviews section, links to the developer website. On that page there is documentation and a walkthrough on how to change the time zone of a Favorite.
  • Great Presentation - Poor Data

Okay, we are after the Winter Solstice and sunrise gets later every day according to this app. WRONG

    Developer Response

The latest sunrises and earliest sunsets don’t come on the winter solstice–the shortest day of the year. For locations in the mid-latitudes of the Northern Hemisphere, the earliest sunset is in early December; the latest sunrise is in early January.
  • GPS doesn't work.

Ok if you're in California. But GPS does not work. So, not of much use to the rest of the planet.

Version 1.2 of the app, released June 2015, does have the GPS tracking feature. Tap the arrow on the Locate screen to turn it on, select Current GPS Position, and the times will be calculated for your current latitude and longitude. Scroll around on the Locate screen to select locations around the world. For frequently used locations, add each one as a Favorite to quickly access their sunrise and sunset times.
  • Sun Calendar Indeed!

Have wanted all of the information provided by this app at one time or another. Now I have one place to look rather than several. The user interface is well constructed and intuitive. When you are working with Little League during spring and summer this is a must have item.
  • Love this app

I often printed these from the web site. Now one tap on the iPad and all the info is right here.

It is nice to know we are really gaining daylight here in the frozen north.
  • Good but not perfect

As noted on other reviews, the web version is outstanding. However, the mobile version has one major flaw. The app does not auto locate and defaults to a Califonia location. As an amateur astronomer who does public star parties around the DFW metroplex and would like to know the exact time of sunset for the current location, I have to constantly minimize the map, move the center spot around the map then zoom in to find my new location and then recenter the map to get the times for this new location. If an Autolocate feature was included then I would give it 5 stars, but till then only 4

  • Perfect for photographers

This is very handy when setting up portrait sessions. A must have for photographers.
  • Amazing Calendar App

I have been using the web version of this app for several years and love it, but this app version is terrific. It has everything the web version has and more. Worth every penny and a nice way to say thanks to a developer who has been very generous with his web app! A must have app for calendar and astronomy enthusiasts.
