  • Useless at measuring mats

Useless at measuring and cutting mats. What should the interior dimensions be? Who knows.

    Developer Response

The interior dimensions are the size of the picture you wish to frame (minus some overlap). eg. 8 x 10 for a large photo, but the size is up to you. You would then add in your desired matt widths (distance from picture edge to frame edge) and the app calculates the external matt size. The external matt dimensions are displayed at the top of the cut list. It is calculated from the picture and matt dimensions you have entered in the app. You cut this size from a large matt sheet, and then cut in from each edge by the dimension you have entered for the matt widths, eg 2" in from the top edge... I hope that helps you out.
  • Can’t “weight” the Matt

Most images when matted are not equally distant on all 4 sides. This calculator only allows you to do an equally distant mat width on all 4 sides. Most images to be framed will have a “weighted” lower portion of the mat to be “heavier” a.k.a. wider. This app won’t let you do that. Too bad otherwise it works great.

    Developer Response

Thank you for your review. I will try and include your recommendations in the apps next update. Version 4.0 can weight each matt side individually.
  • Awkward - REFUND PLEASE.

Useless using on iPhone, after you enter width and height you need to scroll up, scrolling will then change the measurements entered. REFUND PLEASE

    Developer Response

New user interface in version 3.0 should solve your problem.
