Very poor controls...
Can we please.... please.... PLEASE.... have a PLAY/STOP button on the EDIT window!?!
It is INCREDIBLY frustrating and hindering to workflow to keep having to switch backwards and forwards and then stop and start and back and forward again!!

Good but some significant issues
I really like the quality of the backing. Sounds and feels like real musicians rather than midi generated sounds. Great for practising for playing in a group. Limited for use at gigs.
A few problems that would make it fantastic.
1. An easier way to stop. When performing with this app there's no simple way to stop the backing which makes it awkward. To be able to either program the number of repeats or tap for an ending would be good
2. I'd like to be able to move saved backings of my own between the three apps. As it is now you have to reprogram tracks in each app if you want to try a style from a different app.
3. Why are the chords all so obscure? Why not just a C7 for example? Being a pianist I only use the bass and drums so it's "OK" but it's strange that the chord options are so limited and mostly unusual chords.
4. Can future updates be made available as an in app purchase rather than a new app. Having three versions of the same app is strange.Show lessTheCouchman
Fantastic!
This is like a cross between iReal Pro and Band in a Box with real tracks. I love the sound of BiaB with real tracks but it isn't convenient to have the computer all of the time. This fills in the gap and gives me the better sound quality I'm missing from iReal.Swid441
Great app but constantly crashing
I am a music teacher and professional musician in Ontario Canada. I find these apps to be an amazing way to get professional sounding backing tracks for play along practice. It is very much like a simplified and therefore more practical version of band in a box. I use it on my iPhone and mirror it to the TV and stereo. Sounds great. Good job guys.
Here is the bad news and the reason for the two stars: this app crashes every time I use it. (iPhone 6s plus)
It probably needs an update for iOS 10. I emailed the company but received no feedback. Please fix this, as I would like to use this app regularly. Thank youShow lessJasperchess
Outstanding
High quality app, fantastic to play along and getting acquainted to the world of Jazz. It would just be amazing if you could add small charts for guitar chords.Frs0007
Useless
Nice samples & sound quality. Otherwise lack of chords, no comping variation, no real way to build a song structure (just a big loop) A useless toy compared to iReal... I'm taking it off my iPad, waste of time, money, and space20 roysan60
Great sound, limited functionality
I purchased volumes 1,2 and 3 thinking that this app would be an improvement over the iReal Pro app in terms of play along sound quality. As far as sound goes, this app is excellent, however, it's missing some very fundamental cords and can't perform slash-cords either. Major fault
Actually love the session band apps - I know they are trying to cover a LOT of ground but it is frustrating at times that there is no simple major chord among(st) the chord types given - quite a few jazz tunes use them surprisingly - but perhaps this is a minor gripe [heh] For quickly sketching a piece for later reflection n amendment an ideal aide memoireShow lessPrince of Ferns

Great but needs some things fixed
This is a great app, but it could use some updates that would make it better.
1) add a min 6 chord option
2) be able to open saved tunes in all three volumes. What a pain it is to make the same song 3 times because you can only hear a couple of options in each volume.
3) Have more chord options. Ex. 7(#5b9), 7(b5b9), Dim7.
Overall, this app is wonderful. I just hope you can add these changes by updating the app and not come out with volume 5million for every little change.Show lessChicojazz84
