We are coming back. Opart was created in 2013 as a proof of concept of specific idea and technology and in the store since 2018 when we lost our API. Version 1.1. contains some small reductions and simplifications, there is different container sever and different external user base API. General functionality is exactly the same as in 2013. We are reactivating this app temporarily working on the next generation version 2.0.

Description of Opart

"Opart" is a simple and unique way to kill boredom. For some, it's a game. For the other creative tool. For sure it is not yet another pixel art editor but might lead someone to create or just express itself. "Opart" user interface is so intuitive. There is no need to read the manual or have drawing skills. The creative process is just as simple as tapping the touchscreen with one finger. No need to keep a mobile device in both hands. No need to lose the focus between unnecessary confusing tools and creative options. Only one colour - BLACK. Only one painting shape - SQUARE. Only one touch leads the user from the gallery view to edit mode. Such edit mode is so clean like a space between the painter and the wall. Honestly, we thought about someone like Michelangelo. But we also thought about something else... but unfortunately, this description is not a place for our inside story. Right... What else? At first, we thought to create "Opart" app as an extremely introverted, egotistical, hermetic, and just selfish toy. But our stubborn developer has decided to make it (in his subjective point of view) more human and implemented some social features. The cloud of Michelangelo's clones can collaborate, share the love and have selfish fun in annoying the other ones.

  • Not what it says it is

“Op Art” is a category — or kind — of art. I did it in high school. It takes a fair amount of imagination and exactitude. Usually it it makes sole use of black and white, with imaginative high contrast images. Not the case here. Yes, I understand the simple take on the concept. Not a bunch of controls, easy to use. But Sylwester, you must have ...some! Line quality, background choices, axes choices, resolution…At least an expectation that one would get more than one size of square, line, or color. Can’t remember what I paid for it, but the function and UI are abysmal. On the app description, the term “kill time” is emphasized. Look at the art samples and see if this is how you would make an impression on someone you like. Lettibg them know how you 'kill time.' Maybe his first try at an app. I was hoping for a bit more. Maybe it’s free by now. Cheers.
