Basic but could use update
A basic app to record the books we’ve read for the OTBBK program. I agree with previous reviews that this app could greatly benefit from some simple updates such as: 1)the ability to edit a manually added book (instead of fixing a typo in the title, I have to add the book again), 2)being able to sort the library by the most recent book READ, not just added (the books we read over and over just sink to the bottom of the list and are a pain to find) 3)being able to search in the library by any key word in the title (instead of being stuck with 20 “the...” titled books) and 4)being able to add one book to multiple readers at once (and not having to find and add the book 3x when read to all three of my kids).

Idea with potential. Subpar execution
Unfortunately this app fell extremely short of what it could be. Fantastic idea, however far too glitchy, slow and not super intuitive.
Someone recommended this app to me as we are a big bookworm family and this would have been amazing to utilize properly... Severely needs an update with better design and bug flaws fixed...

Desperately needs updating
This is definitely easier than writing all the books down, however it need to be upgraded.
It is very slow to the point of not working on occasion. There was a span of about 3-4 days where I could not add any books to our list because it kept crashing.
I agree with another comment below that it would be much easier if I could search for any word in the title and not just the first word. I have loaded books onto the library more than once because i can't find the book.
It would be nice to edit the book information after it's been saved. I didn't know I could load a picture of the book onto the library until after I had done several books.
I am glad to be participating in the program and will easily reach 1000 books before my kids reach kindergarten, however I will not keep doing this after they reach 1000 books unless an update comes. It just takes too long.

App Needs An Update
The app is basic which is easy to use, however, some more functionality should be added and/or updated. Adding a book manually should be an option right off the bat with searching and scanning a book. Deleting a book should be easier. Spell check should be ‘ON’ for manually adding books and upper case letters should ‘ON’ when starting to type. Search function needs to be updated for more flexibility, currently you have to type exact titles of books. App is glitchy ALL THE TIME. Every time I use it, it either has a ‘network error’ or it crashes.

Painfully Slow
Overall I like the app enough to use it. However, i get frustrated every time I open the app bc every single step/click is so Painfully slow. I thought it might speed up the loading time if I deleted books from the library that I wasn’t going to read (pre loaded books) but I couldn’t find a way to delete them. I would like to edit the library and add photos also as the other review mentioned. Also it would be nice if I could select “today” and just check all the 5 books we read, select both children, and it increased their book count. Instead I have to go through this painfully slow process 10 times just to add 5 books we read together for 2 kids. I usually have to wait till they’re asleep to update their reading list Bc they’re not patient enough to wait for me to scan a book, add it, then add it to both their reading lists.

Could be really great with a few improvements
We are to 600 books and have been using this app for about 8 months now.
It's the best book tracking app I've used, but I wish it did the following things:
Allowed you edit info for a book in your library after you initially add it (such as add an image, author, page numbers, etc.)
Allowed you to differentiate from read books and unread books in your library. I'd like to be able to add books I'd like to read to our library list prior to reading them, and then have the ability to sort or view unread books when we go to the library or bookstore.
Ability to search for a single word in the title of a book in your library instead of just the first word. This would be especially useful in finding/organizing Disney books. It's hard to remember if the Bambi book in our library is called Disney's Bambi, just Bambi, or Little Golden Books Disney Bambi, etc., and if it was possible to just type Bambi and have it show up regardless of the first word that would be great (I've noticed the search function is the "Add a Book" does search entire titles, which is great)
Other than those few things I like it quite a lot. Would recommend it and am happy our library is participating in the 1000 books program.

An update requested
I have been using this app for awhile and for the most part it works pretty well. At least once a day I will get a network error but then it goes back to working. My one request would be that if you go to share the list and send in an email, more than just the title of the book would be listed. Our library participates in this program and I would like to be able to print off a list that includes the author and date the book was read. That way once we reach each 100 book milestone I can print off our list to bring in rather than have to write the information down. That would change my review to 5 stars. Thanks!

Getting better
I love the concept behind this app and I especially appreciate the new search feature. The search bar has drastically cut down on the time it takes me to log books to my children's reading lists. With some other additions, I believe that this could be a very fun and functional app. Often, I read a dozen or more books at a time to my kids. Can you allow for multiple books to be added to a reading list at once? It is extremely tedious to only be able to add one book at a time. Also, if I read to both kids at the same time, it would be convenient to add that book to both reading lists at the same time. The addition of some reading statistics might be fun. I'd love to be able to see a "top 10" list of books for each reader on my app. Which books has my child read the most and how many times has he read them? Also, how many books is he averaging per day/per week/per month? The improvements so far have been good. A few more additions would make this app great. Keep up the good work!
