Description of SatFinder
Locate TV satellites in the sky with your iPhone or iPad.
SatFinder is a tool for finding TV satellites and aligning satellite dishes.
SatFinder uses your phone sensors to detect your physical location and calculates azimuth and elevation your satellite antenna needs to face.
- Use Augmented Reality View to see and target satellites in the sky.
Use your camera for Augmented Reality View which shows satellite icons in places where they're positioned in the sky. It gives a realistic view to the sky and it helps to make sure there is a line of sight (LOS), i.e. no obstacles, such as tree branches or house tops, between the satellite dish and the satellite itself.
- Locate a single satellite in Target Satellite View
Use Target Satellite View to find or to "lock onto" a particular satellite. Direction arrows simply guide you to the desired satellite position.
- Touch screen to take a screenshot of Augmented Reality view

Tried Target and air view, entered location manually and automatically. Tried calibrating (figure 8) to no avail. Either never saw a satellite, or the showed up in the wrong arc or incorrect position. Waste of $7
Please fix target view.
I would give 5 stars if this feature worked but it doesn't. Please fix it and I will give 5 stars. I frequently travel in a Motorhome so every new campsite requires finding the right site with access to the southern sky and setting up the dish each time. the right sight and even the position of the coach is critical for DirecTV. Quick set up of my dish would be improved if the target feature in this app worked as intended. Other than that, Kudos!
