I had to delete this app when the ads popped up several times when I finished each page trying to read 1984. Ironic?

The ads ruin the experience
Good app until latest version that puts ads up every few minutes with no way to disable or buy in-app to disable.

I have had this app for some time. No pop up adds, font is great on iPad. Not sure why mine is different than the other reviews. I've read a good number of these books so far and am very, very happy. I read this best (by far) book I've EVER read with this app. Les Miserables.
If the publisher of this great app screwed it up after I down loaded it - for the sake of great literature un f'n screw it. Please!

Disappointing
The selection is good. But you have to keep resizing the page in the screen to see it because the font is too small. And what's up with the adds that pop up without any notice or warning ????? How incredibly irritating! Stop it! All I am looking for is to read my classic book in peace.....

I want to cry
Update killed the app. Now it won't load. Should have left it be. It was fine. Sometimes you shouldn't tinker where it isn't needed.
August 26---wanted to say thank you but can't. Still won't open. Deleted and reinstalled. Nope. Oh well.

Nice one Google
What a shame. Have been knocking off this great collection of books for years. Last night was just finishing of Around the World in 80 Days when up pops this fricken Google ad. They then came about every 3 minutes. Full page- no way to stop them. The only option Google gave me was to stop sending browser info and then I would receive "random" ads. Hopefully can find elsewhere without Google.

Adds interrupt reading every few minutes with full page coverage which takes a while to remove. Will not use or recommend this app. Ever

Pros: excellent selection of classic books, easy to navigate
Cons: intrusive ads interrupt reading, take over the whole screen and also open your browser to an ad
Summary: the previous version was far better. Give this one a miss and just download the books you want from Project Gutenberg (free and no ads).

Absolute C@$&!!!!!!
Aside from the incessant ad pop up that completely blocks the entire page (seriously dude?) and the fact that you have to constantly adjust and re-adjust the size to be able to read the page and the fact that you can't get the pages to turn and that the program freezes all the time, this is a great (sarcasm) app. Whoever created this is an imbecile. Good job dimwit!

This app pulls together a really well thought through selection of some of the best books in the English language in a very attractive interface.
