I can't say enough good things about tastebuds. Whether you're just a music head looking for new tunes / concert buddy, or for dating, Tastebuds has got you covered. The app and web platforms are both great and super easy to navigate. The search features are excellent, but the matches offered up automatically based on tastes has been enjoyable as well.
I look forward to the Tastebuds community growing larger to edge out crappy dating sites like OKcupid 😂 The community seems a little small when you're looking for people in your immediate area, I guess that may just depend on how niche your music tastes are though.Show lesschelsea.fmt
Great concept, needs improvements
This app is a great idea and has a good visual feel. The concept of finding musically like-minded people is wonderful. However, it looks like this app has a lot to work on including, but not limited to, distance settings, search tools, and match notifications/list. Currently, I have had no notifications that anyone has liked me period, let alone liked me back or matched. Why is there a heart/like option if you're never matched with anyone?? A few messages have been exchanged; although, nothing meaningful. The 'tuning into' people I've been getting lately have been all over the map but mostly international; there is no way to limit to a local area. This app has a lot of potential, but after 2 weeks, it's sadly been mostly pointless to me. Maybe I'll give it another try in a few months to see if any improvements have been made.Show lesshlponthewy
Finally!
I've been wishing for an app concept like this FOREVER! I am a huge indie music freak and my personal life often revolves around going to shows. That said, typical dating/friend apps have been lacking this component, big time! I love being able just to see different people's musical interests and share my passion with like minded peeps. Great app, but could use some tweaks
First, I love this app and the concept around it. Music is something that (I hope) most people connect to, and connecting others through it whether you're looking to date or not is genius. Some cons are that sometimes to choose a song to become your "profile song" via the actual site, but then it doesn't show on your mobile app profile (which is annoying). Someone sent me a song, but I couldn't reply until I bought a subscription which is also limiting.
Other than that it's a solid app and I look forward to continuing to use it!Show lessDooomx
I've been looking for something like this.
I've always thought about how cool it would be to have something that was designed specifically for finding people who have similar music tastes. I'm so glad I finally found it. This is very well put together. I love it.^k1ll1t^
Not worth it in Montreal
The app is not popular enough in Montreal to offer possibilities that are interesting. After only one discovery session on the app, I am out of possible, reachable man.
