  • Best beat'em up!!!

This game hit me right in the nostalgia!!! The developers did a effing fantastic job putting this together. It's like one giant Easter egg of all your favorite video games that's been fried in a hand drawn pan of adventure land. The brute is obviously Abobo from Double Dragon, and the Hunter is Rei from Breath of Fire!!!! They even have an Akuma based character! This game is so awesome I had to rate it. I've NEVER rated an app in the 5 years of owning an iPhone. It's a must try. the first and second boss are boba fett and a sith/death lord. The yeti monster on the the second island has a Zangeif spinning fire palm move. It's literally a culmination of every great thing in your childhood. If you like Star Wars, Street fighter, adventure time, super ghouls and ghosts, castlevania symphony of the night and castle crashers then you'll love this game!

  • Steep learning curve but well worth it.

I thoroughly enjoyed Maximus, another title of theirs. When I saw this game, I had to try it. This is a total nod to Maximus and to the old Street Fighter games. The nostalgia alone makes this game a complete blast to play.

Edit: with this new update, two of my characters are stuck and I'm unable to use them at all. Ironically, they're both stuck at Raven on Gamer mode. Hopefully they fix this.

  • Ole School Fun

I found the controls difficult to master at first... for me personally anyway. I love these old school platformer games and this one is quite entertaining. The only irritation I have and the reason my rating is not a full five stars is that the game crashes every time I'm at the middle of an end stage boss fight which I have to start the level from the beginning. I'd still recommend this game to anyone who loves platform games such as myself,

  • Great stuff

Great game! Big step up from Maximus. Would love a way to see the cut scenes over again we have unlocked in some kind of menu like the book of characters. Also a map with just waves of enemies or maybe two or three maps that scroll like the castle for both farming gold and playing co op, with castle crashed esque chaos. They could scale up in difficulty and be played on normal and hard etc. just my two cents, I love seeing the crazy story and also some input on how it relates to Maximus or that cut scene thing so I can piece it together. I tend not to retain info the first time. Anyway great freaking game guys!!! I'll repost this a couple other venues just cuz.

  • Just Bad

The game is fun for maybe the first few levels, but overall it's just bad. Firstly the controls are horrible. I know for games like this screen-controls don't translate very well, but they could have done a much better job.

Along with that is the difficulty. The difficulty spikes like it's on drugs. It can go for a piece of pie to the hardest game over within the same level. If a game overall hard or easy I could forgive it, but the difficulty level is just so inconsistent.

  • It's awesome, but needs better controls.

I love this game!! Simple, fun combat, comical story, BUT the controls are awful. It takes me hours to beat something because my character won't do what I tell him to and I don't know what I telling him to do because there is no virtual pad or anything other than a dot to follow. Please fix and it could easily be the greatest thing ever on the AppStore

  • Fun Work Game!

Lately I've been having troubles finding games I'm able to play at work. Sometimes for the sake of it being inaccessible due to internet blocks, or that I get busy. This game, however, is not only fun (as well as challenging) but it's a game I can easily put down and come back to! An internet connection isn't required, and there appears to be plenty of replay value! 5/5. Would recommend.

  • Good game impaired with ineffective control

The gameplay, despite its simple graphic, is awesome. The background texts are funny also. One thing I dislike, which is basically the developer's attempt to be innovative, is the absent of virtual pad. With the current control system, it is difficult to move my character the way I like it. Maybe it's just me, but I do hope in the future update they make virtual pad as a possible option.

  • An amazing side scrolling beat em up that works flawlessly

Blackmoor is an amazing side scrolling beat me up that works perfectly and has enough depth to keep you busy for a long while. While freemium, there isn't a cash grab at all here.

The different characters are all fun to play and the gameplay is surprisingly tight. Some enemies and bosses are cheap, but with enough practice you will be pounding through levels with ease.

There are RPG stat elements here along with level based powers that are unlocked the longer you play.

To make the game even more fun blackmoor is chock full of Sci Fi and classic video game references.. You owe it to yourself to get this game.
