Controls are terrible and tedious. Game requires no skill. Worst of all you cannot save progress and have to start from level 1 each time.

Fun retro game
It's basically like space invaders played on extruded curved, angular or wraparound shapes.

As an old-time fan of the Tempest arcade game, I find this little gem quite addictive.
But I miss just one thing: at the end of each level, Tempest used to zoom IN instead of OUT, and we had to watch out for SPIKES which could kill one of your lives on the way out of a level! This was part of the game and I miss that!
Otherwise, an eye-candy that is really worth your time!

Tempest was the ultimate 80's game, it was and still feels futuristic in its gameplay, the sounds on this game do not compare, I think I'm mostly annoyed by the constant high pitched laser sound. I'll try without the volume.
Freeze at level 3
Mini os7 unable to move when level 3 starts.
Nice idea BUT....
Awful control system, needing to "drag" your finger left and right to maneuver, with an almost auto fire, I don't feel like there's any skill involved. Yeah give retro look is great but gameplay is weak IMHO.

Possibly the best arcade game I have played on my iPhone. Runs silky smooth and is extremely fun. Definitely give it a download!
