Won’t load/work
Download the app but every time I try to open it, it just says “Failed to load application data. You must connect to a Wi-Fi or cellular data network to access this data.” I am on my home network with Wi-Fi and it won’t work/load. I’ve also check for software updates on my iPad and iPhone and they are all up to date.
Looks like it would be helpful once it loads. Until then I have to give it a one star. Maybe the app developer needs to update the app.Show lessDeveloper Response
The SAFE Toolkit App was just rebuilt/reloaded and is awaiting approval from iOS (SORRY!) This should be available by the weekend...Lots of great resources! But…
They obviously put a lot of energy into gathering lots of good, useful info in one place. The downside? The app is like a hyperactive MySpace website from the 90’s… busy, confusing and endless linkagePlease hire a designer
This looks like it was designed by my 8th grader. She doesn’t have a favorite color but rather loves all of them equally, and it looks like this designer feels the same way. The “Talk to Us” page in the screenshot here no longer exists and that’s unfortunate because I can’t give feedback directly to them, and also because it actually looks well designed.
Most of the links in many of the sections don’t even open anything. They look clickable but don’t work.
I would hate to see a student glancing at my phone while I’m using this app. It would make me look incredibly unprofessional to be getting endorsement language from an app with these colors. It makes me embarrassed to be a SAFE member and I hope they’re working on an update.Show lessDeveloper Response
Ah yes, the modern requirement to provide sexy dancing icons...sorry! My intention is to supply relevant safety data, but yes, we are also working on an update to meet "modern expectations!" 🤣
