Do Not Waste Your Time
You’ll be tempted, “It looks cool!” You’ll say. But honestly, don’t bother. AI is dreadful, often you’ll pass the ball and your player will run away, run the ball into an opposing player, or just randomly lose possession. Opponent AI is unfair, you’ll send a pass only to watch helplessly as an opponent out-runs your player from 10 yards further back and get to the ball first. Goalkeepers are prime Yashin. Might as well have a 1-foot wide goal cos that what it feels like you’re aiming at with the GK’s ability to save anything from anywhere. The game gives the impression of choice, pass it where you want, but it’s painfully linear. It’s obvious the game wants you to pass it to certain people, and the amount of times I’ve put my striker through on goal only to watch as he Cruyff-turns and runs AWAY from goal to pass backwards to a midfielder. This game is agonising to play, never fun. I promise you: don’t be tempted by this, you will genuinely regret it and inevitably delete it. Not worth the tissue-thin moments of dopamine you’ll get when you actually do score and complete a level. It’s just bad, unfair and a waste of phone storage.
