  • Extremely pleased after using past few months

I cant say this is the easiest product to learn but its not any harder to figure out than other complex productivity or utility apps.
I've had to contact their Support a couple of time to ask how to do something and have had immediate responses, never robotic and always a person able to walk me through the steps.
My husband and I both purchased the file browser app and installed it on our ipads and computers. We have a home network NAS we use to share our home management and joint files for things like heathcare, banking, tax returns, wills, vehicles, manuals, photos, etc.
File browser gives us each the same access to all our NAS, Google and iCloud files. It keeps entire folders in sync on our local devices.
Before I was aware of this product, we each struggled with the best way to ensure 100% file access between our individual accounts.
    This product resolved that!

  • Best File Browser for iOS

I rarely write reviews and provide feedback – unless I am getting paid for it. However, I absolutely had to step in here and share my feedback about FileBrowser Pro. I do this because it is rare for a piece of software to be released that works well, is intuitive to use, and covers every need that the user could have.

Everything about this file browsing app just works great. Most of the time, we are stuck with low quality/poorly written junk Apple software (such as their miserable Files native app in iOS, among many examples).

I have thousands of JPEG files on my local network, including Synology, and yet the developers over at Apple could not (amongst any of them) find a way to reliably allow thumbnail previews to appear so that you can actually see the images in the directories you are browsing. You see kids, including easy and intuitive workflows for your software end users is kinda important.

Nevertheless, this file browsing app does all of that and more. I absolutely cannot recommend it enough. It will be the best $15 you ever spent.

  • What a fabulous app!

Does everything you could possibly want, including quickly and easily connecting to Windows and Linux shares and viewing and playing every popular file type. It will even let you automate moving files between folders on your Windows or Linux share using a timer. It also works perfectly with IOS shortcuts.

Truly, what's not to like? And you can buy a lifetime license instead of %}^*} in-app purchases. It's so much better than FE File Explorer! I wish I'd bought this years ago!

  • I upgraded from Filebrowser to FB pro, totally worth it

I was very happy using Filebrowser with a paid subscription. I noticed that FileBrowser Pro offered me the ability to locally sync files to my iPhone and iPad so that would have access, even if it didn't have a network connection. I decided to upgrade for nominal fee.

You can set up a full synchronization, or use it as a back up. It works flawlessly and it's fast. I then noticed the additional capability of writing custom scripts that can do a wide variety of tasks. These can be scheduled or you can run them manually. A couple of examples are provided. No programming language required. You simply pick which files and folders you want action taken on, select from the various actions, and it's done. You can do this across multiple clouds.

The Pro version also offers quite a few more connectivity options than the standard product.

I have to say one of the things that impresses me the most about stratospherix, the company that makes these products, is their support. If I report a bug, I almost always get a response within 24 hours. If there is a workaround, they will provide it. The fixes usually come out with additional enhancements on a regular basis.

If you need an app that allows you to comprehensively manage files and folders, while never having to leave that app, you definitely want FileBrowser Pro. From my experience as a retired IT pro, it really is a best in class product for iOS.

  • Filebrowser TV is only way to read PDFs on Apple TV

Filebrowser TV is a fantastic app. So is their regular FileBrowser Pro but I really wanted to comment on how great the Apple TV app is. You can access your computer seamlessly without any glitches and it allows many more file formats to be opened from there. Other Apple TV file apps only support photos and audio or video files, but FileBrowser TV supports many other types of files. It’s so cool to be able to have PDFs on the TV.

I wanted to make a feature request in case the developers see this review: It would be fantastic to have access to cloud storage services in the Apple TV FileBrowser app the way the FileBrowser Pro app links to Dropbox, Google, PCloud, etc. Especially because FileBrowser TV offers more file formats to open, it would be nice to be able to open them from Dropbox, etc., too.

  • Feature Rich

I use FBPro a lot. I recently setup a sync task. One way from Win10 to my iPad, so easy to setup. It’ll run once every four hours. Flawless! I love the flip video feature. It’s very useful in learning magic/manipulation and you’re training the opposite hand than being taught, or training both hands for the same move.

I’d love the ability to delete photos or videos while watching them. I’d be make much quicker than going back to the list to delete. The ability to loop a section of a video you’re watching. Set a start marker then the end marker and have it loop that portion of the video. I still give it 10 stars. I know it only goes to 5, but if you had the app you’d understand.

  • Wow, I connected to my NAS and ALL cloud storage in 15min

Just like my title says, I connected to my local networked storage system, as well as Microsoft, one drive, dropbox, box, Google Drive, and my local networked PCs, all within about 15 to 20 minutes. So far the inner face seems intuitive. This really did work and that’s probably what matters to all of you. If you want to use your iPad, or iPhone to access all of your networks storage, other computers on your net, work, and cloud storage, this would seem to be the app that will do it for you, effortlessly!
Just make sure you use a password manager, or know all of your passwords if you want to connect as fast as I did.
If I encounter any difficulties down the road, I’ll try to remember to come back and update this review.

  • Top notch and a must for the iPad user

Works well, supports many different type files. About the only way it could be better is if it had a add on video plugin kit that would allow it to open specific video files without having to use other vendors app that sometimes crash. It would be a worthwhile addition I would as sure as many others would be willing to pay for. Anyway thanks for such a fantastic app probably the best one I bought for my iPad Pro.

  • Great app

Had the normal one for tears and planned to get the pro one but never did until a few days ago and it definitely worth the price. Amazing functionalities.
The app is the best browser app ive come across since for 10+ years. Its a great feeling to know you have a tool that can help you in every situation. Also the price is nothing compared to some other apps like Documents which has a monthly price of this app but cant compete with FileBrowser Pro.

But most important feature is an amazing support team that explain every issue as simple as they can for you to understand and help you in every way. The support team is famous for being fast and thorough. I have made some support teams angry at me for being a novice but stratospherix team take their time explaining everything which is the best support experience ive had ever.

    Developer Response

Thank you for your feedback. FileBrowser Pro supports SFTP connections over SSH but doesn't have a terminal interface.
