Works perfectly.

Stopped using this for Kite surfing many years ago, just found another use for it with some glider applications, connected up to my iPhone 15 with an adaptor, turned up the volume to max, allowed it to calibrate works perfectly. Happy days 👍

Crashes with screen time enabled

Works fine but crashes with a time limit

App crashes constantly

App will not stay open on 3 different phones I’ve tried, great device, but app is a major letdown..

Total disaster

Windoo 3 app is not working with iPhone 6. Last update was more then one year ago. I tried several times, reinstalling deleting app, no success. They mention that is working with iPhone 6 and 6+ but as you see reviews is not. Don’t buy this product unless they update software.

Crashes and disconnects all the time

Windoo keeps disconnecting after 1 min and app crashes when I try to save with a picture.

No compatibility iPhone 6 or 6 plus

Company website states Windoo 3 is compatible with iPhone 6 and 6 plus. It is not! After you read that iPhone 6 and 6 plus are compatible, you must click the link at the bottom of the page for the “details” to see that it’s not. Disregard the version 1.2 update notes stating they “fixed it” as the company has told me they expect you to read their “detail notes” and not go by their flashy website claims!

Dosnt work with iPhone 6s

The app saying its calibrating and doesn't work

iPhone 6S

Works on all my < iPhone 6S devices... But not my 6S itself. I hope that's just an update away. When that's done, I'll give it 4 stars.

Compatibility Issue - Resolved

I purchased a Windoo3 series 3 device from a supplier after confirming with the manufacturer of the product that it would be compatible with the iPhone 6 & 6+. It was not, so I re-contacted the Swiss-based company. In an immediate reply to my email, their personnel advised me that only the newer series 4 model would operate with the iPhone 6 devices. In the same message, they advised me to ship the series 3 model directly to them. In short order, they sent a series 4 to me. It works flawlessly.

Kudos to Nathalie and others at JDC Electronic SA, for their outstanding support, integrity, and superb product.

Gadget is great, app is terrible

This is a very cool gadget (I have the Windoo 3) but unfortunately, the app is a MAJOR letdown. For one, it crashes ALL the time. Even when it doesn't crash, it freezes and you have to quit it and restart it about every other time you use it. Yes, I'm using it on an iPhone 5 (not iPhone 6) which it is compatible with per the manufacturer's website.

And even when it works, it drops out intermittently (not sure if that's the app's fault, but I really hope so...) - making the charts useless. E.g. I would be measuring the wind speed and suddenly (while the wind is at a relatively constant rate and within specifications) the measurement (and the chart) would drop to zero, stay there for a few seconds (all the while the "propeller" is spinning normally) and then goes back up again.

I emailed the manufacturer - no response whatsoever.

Even besides these major bugs, the app can be called primitive at best. If you look at the 4 screen shots in the description, you have seen it all. There is NOTHING else. The home screen displays the (2 to 4, depending on the model) measurements the hardware is capable of measuring. If you hit one of the small circles on one of the measurements (HARD to get it right - poor UI design) you go to a graph that only starts recording the measurement history when you are on that screen and immediately clears ALL history when you leave that screen. That's right - the app doesn't record ANYTHING, no min, no max, no average other than if you are on a specific history graph screen, and only for the length of time you have that screen opened. No other measurements are being recorded or stored at all. The only way to record min, max, average is to keep the specific screen open, and even then, only for that specific measurement.

You can manually save measurements, but that is also more of an annoyance than a feature - i.e. you are measuring wind speed and of course it changes all the time as the wind does... if you hit "Save", it will record the wind speed at the very moment when you pressed "Save" and nothing else. No min, max or average is recorded. So basically, it is useless. To annoy you further, when you save something, it opens a choice to record a picture with your measurement, with the option not to take a photo, but you have to press a button NOT to take a photo. I don't ever want to take a photo with my measurements (I don't see why I would do that - I'm sure it may be useful for someone, but not for me) but there is no way to turn it off. I just have to hit "No photo please" every time I want to save a measurement.

I really hope the manufacturer will invest some resources in fixing the major bugs and crashes and adds some features that would make the app worthwhile to use... it is a major letdown for a proprietary gadget that doesn't work with anything else. Why make a $100+ gadget FOR smartphones and then make the only app it works with dumber than a basic handheld wind/temp/humidity/pressure meter, ignoring to use any of the powerful possibilities a smartphone could do with all that data is beyond me. So gadget - 5 stars. App - 1 star (I would give it half a star if I could since even the basic functionality is hindered by the constant freezes and crashes).

JDC Electronics - PLEASE fix the app. I feel let down after buying the expensive hardware.
