The app is updated weekly, but that’s where any semblance of functionality ends. To call this app horrible would be an understatement of gargantuan proportions; it's a digital catastrophe. Imagine being trapped in a never-ending loop of misinformation, visual clutter, and ceaseless frustration. The newsletters are filled with outdated news, often highlighting last month’s bake sale as if it’s breaking news, while the latest news section is a graveyard of irrelevant posts, like last week's weather forecast. Galleries supposedly showcasing school events are plagued with grainy, indecipherable images that look like they were taken with a 90s flip phone, making it impossible to recognize even the most familiar faces. The events calendar is a jumbled mess, listing non-existent activities, and once, it absurdly suggested a field trip to the moon. Contacting the school through the app is an exercise in futility, with messages vanishing into the ether, never to be seen or responded to. The map function? A cruel joke, leading students to the football field when they’re searching for the library. And don’t get me started on the portals; accessing them is akin to hacking into a government database, with endless log-in screens and inexplicable errors. The app’s weekly updates seem to introduce more problems than they solve, turning what should be a helpful tool into an instrument of pure torture. In short, the Damascus College Ballarat app is an unmitigated disaster, a shining example of everything that can go wrong with technology. Avoid it like the plague.
