Highly Satisfied

The app is very responsive and is useful when I want spec processors when I am away from my PC. I was able to download the component data quickly and find the part that fit my criteria within just a few minutes.

STM32H5xx parts do not exist

Just wondering when this app will get up to date information? It looks like it’s trying to get it, but then it just gives up.

Completely Broken as of 2.2.3

The app fails to download any MCU information at startup and thus it is completely useless as you cannot search any MCUs. This is on the latest iPhone 12 Pro so I would not expect to have such issues...

Edit:
Since the recent revamp of the app, everything works much better now. The UI has been improved and the parametric search actually works.

I love STM products, I’m glad they finally fixed this app… now if only they could get the chips back in stock 😁

Dear Gdbeckst, Did you know that the app has been completely revamped on July 16 ? You will not believe all what we have brought to improve the robustness and the user experience. The change is so big that we even gave the app a new name : STM32 Finder. So why not giving it a try ? And if you like it, we would be delighted if you could reevaluate your past rating and let it know. A big thank you from the STM32 software development team

Doesn’t work at all

This app used to work but now fails to load any parts, so totally useless now.

Completely broken

Doesn’t work at all, it’s clearly got as many bugs as a typical STM 32 has ‘errata’ - really no more to say.

Doesn’t work...

It doesn’t function at all. 😣

V 2.2.3 Unusable ...

Launching this app takes 30 to 40 seconds or more just looking at the splash screen. It apparently attempts to download all MCU data from the cloud but after about 20% showing on progress bar, you’re dumped into the home screen where you can’t do anything useful. There’s the spinning wheel but progress bar is gone so you have no idea how far into the mcu data download you are. I waited several minutes but it never seemed to finish or allow any searches in the meantime. Really awful implementation. Not a great reflection on this company which does make decent chips. Disappointed because using website can be challenging too.

Also, if you are making separate apps for every IC category as you have done, you are presumably doing that (which is generally a bad idea) to at least improve responsiveness and usability of the app. Fail. Hopefully the other apps work better.

Written by feral monkeys, apparently

Cannot scroll to the end of the MCU list after filtering.. looks like they just made their crappy website display in a web view and called that an app. About what I would expect from STmicro software devs
PS. ‘Evaluation tools->Tool type’ just crashes the app. I would expect no less from ST.

Unusable

App disappears when selecting “Tool Type” under “Evaluation Tools” on iPad. No stars because nothing to review for me, but forced to give one.

BUG report

1. STM32H753VIT has SDIO/SDMMC. Parametric search results SDIO and SDMMC columns both say "No."
2. Choose LQFP100 package, TFBGA100 also appears in parametric search results.
