I needed a simple app that can help me estimate miles for different routes for my walks. It works for perfectly for my specific needs.Anamrtnz
Still needs improvements
This App uses Google Maps as a reference but only available on Map View, Satellite view is not an option. I did not like the measuring banner that shows the Distances, I think it's too wide and covers a good portion of the map along with the pesky advertising banners. I suggest a small measuring display in a corner as well as a pause button while you zoom in or out for more detail.Show lessIcarus2802

Better than the new google maps.
Since the new version of Google Maps has appeared, I've lost the ability to zoom in on an image. The new format included a wider angle lens that bordered on fisheye. This made the images harder to use and much less useful for location spotting. This app is closer to the original Google concept and much more useful and easier to use.
