LUCK > skill

Yep… deleted. This game sucks. Try writing a better tutorial.

Mostly luck, some skill. The rules are lame. For example, complete a sector and all resources RESET. The game tried to be RPG-ish by letting you continue to get a "score-streak" but seriously... The RESET RUINS this game. And lets talk about LUCK...

A massive RANDOM factor makes this game LUCK-DRIVEN. Random viruses will appear on board. You are constantly out-numbered. Some viruses teleport, others go thru walls. You are LUCKY if the ideal opposing program appears. Too much LUCK involved.

FYI, this plays like turn-based Pacman: move around the grid, avoid viruses, lure them into firing positions. HOPE you see an opposing program. HOPE the grid corridors are scattered to yor advantage. Complete a sector, RESET.

COMPLETELY LAME although amusing AND annoying. No stats, just a hacked up leaderboard. Too easy to lose, too much luck involved. Not worth the price.

Legend

Don’t let the limited reviews scare you. This is one of the most famous rogues of all time. Incredible game play where every move matters. Absolutely worth the money even if it’s hard.

Great, short puzzle roguelike

I had a great time reviewing this for our podcast on roguelike games (https://grogpod.zone). I wasn’t sure how it would play from watching videos, but the actual experience of it was fun!

Your goal is to get points through 8 levels and if you survive, continue a new run and see how far your score can go. There’s lots of smart game design here which is only made better in the upcoming sequel 868-BACK. It’s a small scope game, but the interactions and theme really do feel like a pulse pounding heist on the final level when you’re trying to escape with your hacked point total.

Very fun to play at a group gathering or have friends to compare scores with. If there was ever a roguelike only arcade, this would go right next to the Spelunky cabinet.

Go to mobile game

This and Hoplite are top shelf mobile game essentials. Imbroglio, made by this developer, is also good.

This game in particular is deceptively simplistic looking. Good depth in these games.

The games are easy to jump into and out of.

If you wanna step up and go to AA experiences, another deceptively simplistic looking game is the one by the creators of FTL - ‘Into the Breach’.

Mobile essentials.

Thanks for the Update

Working great on my iPhone 14. Fun game.

Love 868 hack but control issues on iPhone

I have this on steam and it’s a brilliant minimalist rogue like.
The problem with the iOS port is that you move up by dragging your character up which on iOS causes you to pull up your Lock Screen.
It’s not game breaking but I wish you could just tap or something

gl bro

waiting for all your new games

Phenomenal

cyber roguelike featuring innovative and compelling gameplay, elegantly intertwined mechanics, and brilliant design.

Needs To Be Updated

I remember this to be a great game when it first released. Saw that a new game by the dev is coming out. But this one does not render correctly on my iPhone 14 and needs to be patched to work correctly. Please fix or delist.

Best game ever and kinda like pac-man

This is the best game ever that I have ever played in my life

Way too hard to hit the tiny buttons

Pretty fun otherwise

In my app Hall of Fame

This is my most-played iPhone strategy game ever. Was obsessed with it for months and still play regularly. It’s super challenging (and, yeah, a roguelike so there are luck elements) but rewarding and deep as you get a better and better idea of the tactics.

Problems

Great but no longer playable on iPhone SE 2020. Can’t click on most procs on the right.

Less is more

This game was my first introduction to MB’s games and I didn’t get it when I first played it. I’ve since come back to it a year later and now really appreciate the game design.

This is the first review I’ve ever written because I was moved by the recent update note. It also inspired me to purchase MB’s other games to support a creative indie developer doing something unique.

The haters are wrong

Anyone who didn’t give this a 5/5 is plainly a fool who prefers to be spoon-fed bland pap.

This game is a procgen strategy/puzzle tour-de-force with near-infinite depth, you just need to be clever enough to figure out how to survive! ;)

Great game but no longer works on iPhone SE!

Amazing game. Download it and give it a try.

Latest update..

Latest update Nov22 unfortunately reduces play area to a tiny box on my iPhone 6,this is a great game however

No sound?

Glad this still works on iPad, but there’s no audio?

Does not display properly iPad Pro 12.9 2021

Game is skewed off the screen on the pro 12.9 2021 model making the game unplayable.

Does support modern iPads

The resolution is off the screen on the IPad Pro. Tried contacting the developer but he is unresponsive. Will pursue a refund.
