Thanks to some feedback from Vicki I've rework the snooze screen to make it quicker to snooze within the same day. The quick snooze actions added to the notifications in 1.4 are also now available on the snooze screen!

This version has been nearly 5 years in the making, which is pretty disappointing, but I'm hoping the new updates please you! - The visual design has been refreshed, no more gradients and rounded corners - More control over editing existing weekly and monthly reminders - More snooze options from notifications: 10mins, 1 hour or 1 day - The last sound you selected is used when you create a new reminder - Fixed to the notification scheduling - Switched from custom date/time selection to Apple's superior UI to fix the display for different countries and the user preference of 12 vs 24 hour time display Thanks to Zachary for pointing out the incorrect date display for US users!

This app has been updated by Apple to display the Apple Watch app icon. Big update to be compatible for iOS 10, it's been a bit of a pain and apologies for the delay but it's here now! And a number of issues, such as duplicated notifications, should be resolved thanks to it! Unlimited reminders! Did you ever get told you had too many? Not anymore! There is an OS limit of 64 scheduled notifications at once so you may get a notification saying you need to open the app for future notifications to trigger but that won't show up for you unless you have lots of notifications going off at once and ignore them for a while! Snuck in a silent option for a reminder's sound, at the bottom of the list. Could be useful to some people, right? Please do get in touch (from the info screen accessible from the top left of the main screen) if you run into any difficulties, just like Brian, Miguel and Matt did!

Some of you might have wanted to be able to set a reminder for 5 minutes before an hour.. I dunno... sounds like it could be useful... now you can... again...

Someone* neglected to test v1.2 on iOS 7**, which thoroughly broke the app... That person has been suitably punished***. Here's me truly hoping this hasn't made any of your lives worse due to probably not being able to stop your notifications going off.... Obviously if anything, even small, seems wrong with my apps you're welcome to get in touch either through the app's feedback button or, if that's not accessible due to issues, via my website, which can be found via the app's page on the App Store. * me ** proper poor show *** ouch

Well this update has been quite a long time in the making... what can I say? I've been focussing on other apps! I'm totally not finished with this app though so it will never get forgotten for too long! Thanks to Péter you now have a monthly reminder option and thanks to Caren there's a new longer and louder sound option in the form of a train whistle! You can also edit a reminder's title once it's been created, which is nice! I've also thrown in support for snoozing or stopping a reminder right from the notification (on iOS 8), which is great for people who know you can swipe a notification (down on a banner, left on the lock screen) to access some actions. Also really good for Apple Watch owners as you'll be able to snooze or stop reminders without getting your phone out! And obviously lots of other little updates and fixes!

Description of Insistent

This app has literally changed my life! It seems I have a pretty bad memory, and I'm sure I'm not alone in that. I forget to do things all the time and I found that the usual reminder apps really don't cut it as they only alert you once, so if you don't take action straight away you'll just forget about it again! So in comes Insistent! It reminds you at your selected time and then keeps reminding you every minute until you tell it to stop, so if you're busy doing something else or don't notice the first notification then it won't give up! But if you know you can't do your task right now you can snooze the reminder until later when you might be free, you can even set recurring reminders if you need to do the same thing on a regular basis. Use Insistent as a reminder for anything that you can't afford to forget; taking a pill, paying a bill, doing a chore, calling your dearest mother, you name it!

  • Great!! Best for adhd period

Would love to have a preset of “ 15 min and 30 min “ ready to be launched when creating a reminder. I personally need reminders or tasks that will continue to bug me as I tend to dismiss alerts all too easily- but I love this app! I simply snooze it for the nagging option lol. This definitely helps with my ADHD when I forget things and the snooze work around help when I get too hyper-focused and have to remind myself of how long I’ve been in the zone. I would gladly pay for watch capabilities, widgets and a way to add a section for optional to do list or a section for a description rather than the title of the reminder only. I’ve honestly spent 2 days downloading apps with promises to be close to your app feature. But yours is the best hands down because it keeps repeating the way I need it to.Your app won the list as well as another called highfutureself. Out of testing so many apps. Thank you so much! A donation button would be cool too.

Thanks for the kind words! Really happy it’s helping you as much as it helps me! I’ll add your suggestions to my list of ideas and maybe one day they’ll appear!
  • Needed by all ADHDers!

I do not turn off a medication alarm until I take the medication! This has saved my sanity. And I only use it for meditation. To not wear out my interest and stop “seeing” the alarms.
  • Terrible app

Bombards me with notifications every minute

    Developer Response

That’s the point of the app and outlined in the description! Sorry it wasn’t a fit for you, it’s aimed at people who need the repeated reminders :D
