Version History of owed

2.9.1

The iOS 13 updated was a little tough on my little Owed app. A bunch of things broke and by the time I found out about it, it was too late. I apologize to everyone that uses the app, I truly am sorry! I won't let that happen again. There were some major fixes done to this version, here is just a few: • Core data updates • Segment controlled restyled • Fixed the ability to save data

Welcome to iOS 12 Owed has been optimized for iOS 12. Giving choice to the user: I've gotten a few requests from users that they would like to ability to change currency and not have to use the currency that is being used based off of their geolocation. I thought this was a good suggestion so I add an option that will allow you to select from the more than 150 currencies that Apple supports. I'll be honest with you, I wasn't able to test all of them. So if you run into a problem, just let me know via an email or Tweet ( )@owedapp). Leave a note: Another suggestion I got a few times was the ability to leave some kind of note when making an adjustment to your loan or statement. I thought this was a nice addition and something that I built into the details screen. Now you have the option to leave a note, and if you want to review that note all you have to do is tap on the history entry you want to review. More at a peek: Now when you 3D Touch (press down instead of tapping) the app icon will allow you to peak at some critical information. Piggy on Twitter You can also find the Owed app on Twitter. Just tap on the twitter icon at the bottom of the options screen.

This was going going to be a small update request, that has turned into a sizeable update for all. Welcome iOS 11: Owed has been optimized for iOS 11! New options incoming! A few weeks ago I got a request from a user that they would like the ability to be able to see the overall totals of everyone in the owed app. I know that all users may not want to see this new feature. So I made it a new option (View Totals) in the options menu ( you can access that menu by tapping on the gear icon at the top left corner of the home screen). This new option if off by default, so if you want to use it, you will have to turn it on yourself. The new View Totals option will give you the ability to view the overall totals, what you are owed and what you owe. A welcomed keyboard update: I also noticed that there was no way of dismissing the Number and Email keyboards after you were done using them besides tapping anywhere other than the keyboard. Well I am happy to announce that both of the keyboards listed above now ship with a "Done" button that will dismiss that keyboard for you. It's a small change, but one I believe greatly improves the user experience. For my friends across the pond: This is an update I have been working on for sometime. Owed will now use your local currency in the app. No longer will I force you to use the $ symbol. Have some feedback for me? Well great news! I have now included a feedback button that will open up and address an email to me. So now sharing your feedback is easier than ever. Maybe you wanted to rate the owed app, but didn't feel like trying to find in the App store? There is now a rating button that will take you directly to the owe app page. Both of these options can be found at the bottom of the options page. If you have some time, I would love some more ratings!

One gear icon to rule them all. I know some of you in the last update felt left out. Some users got a sweet new gear icon in the top left corner of the home screen. Well I am here today to tell you that the wrong has been righted (yes that's an actual word). So what does this gear icon do? Well all users will now have a new mode to activate if you choose to. "Swap Mode" allows you to reorder the list of people on the home screen - a feature that was in V1 of the app and something that a few of you were wishing was in the new version. 3D touch users will still have the option of turning on "Classic Mode" (it's been officially labeled in this version).

This one is for you iPhone 5, 5s ,6 and 6+ users! • I would first like to apologize for disrupting your workflow using the owed app. For that I am truly sorry! • Non 3D Touch users: A bunch of you were upset that I moved the “totals” data from the home screen to the 3D Touch feature. I got your emails and I read the reviews (1 star, ouch). I'm here to tell you that the classic “totals” view is back in the app! You will now see a total for each person and that total will be colorized just like before. • What about my 3D users? Good news! You guys are getting a sweet update as well. The 3D Touch view now displays the difference (because no one really likes math) between what you owe and what you are owed. I even colorized the results! • What if you also want to see the classic “total” view as a 3D touch user? You're in luck! There is now a gear icon (don't ask me why a gear icon became the default visual for options, but it did) in the top left corner of the home screen. Tap the icon and you will have the ability to turn the classic “totals” view on and off. I'm hoping this makes everyone happy! If it does, it would be great to turn some of those 1-star reviews into something a bit higher :)

Description of owed

Version 2 is here! What is new in this version? In a nutshell, everything! Do you borrow money? Do you lend money to your friends? Maybe your family is on your mobile family plan ( you know that mobile plan that no one actually knows what they owe the plan owner each month). If one or all of these fits you, then you're going to love owed! Here is just a sample of some key features: • FREE to use and no sign-up requirement. Seriously who doesn't like free? This also means you should limit your list of demands on what the app needs to do. Remember, it's FREE. • Keep track of multiple entries for each person. If you're like me, you have that one friend (Carl) that is constantly borrowing something. Now you can keep tabs on Carl and what he owes you. • Use your contacts to create new people. Now it's super easy to add Carl's information to the owed app. (Thanks Apple Contacts) • Set Notifications. I promise this time they work! • Send email or SMS reminders. Email not your thing? No worries. Send that person a text message directly from the owed app! • 3D touch enabled Maybe you have it, maybe you don't. But if you do, good for you, as owed is now using 3D touch! • Update person's information. You know, like if Carl tries to change his legal name to Chuck. Well bad news, Chuck. Owed makes it really easy to update a contact's name. • View the history of your statements. If Chuck tries to argue that he didn't borrow more money on top of what he already owes you for lunch, now you can show him the exact day he borrowed money for that Happy Meal. If you like what you see, please rate the app! Thanks for checking out the app, we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

  • So good!

Simple but well executed. As a busy freelance musician, I use this app multiple times per week to keep track of who owes me what for each gig, session, etc….
Makes my life so much simpler. I would absolutely pay for this app
  • Multiple Currencies support

The app looks great. It’s very minimalistic, offers just what i was looking for, with the exception of 2 things.
    1. i live in 2 countries and travel between the 2 often enough. It would be nice to be able to add entries in different currencies, and see the total converted to the main currency for example
    2. I would like to see a summary of the money i owe/am owed in the home page, which would be the calculation of the money i owe to/am owed by all people.

Otherwise, looks great and i’ll probably continue using it

  • Extremely limited

The only thing for me that I like about this app is that it is non-subscription.. I’m giving it a neutral 3 rather than a 1 because it might fulfill some needs out there, but it is really basic, it doesn’t do anything more for me than my calculator app and notepad. I expected it to be a great way to enter an amount I loaned a friend and then offer an easy way to decline his balance, for example if the loan was $5000 and he paid me at his convenience on his payday (not structured to a specific recurring date) I would just enter that amount, say $259.30 and the app would show the date he paid me, the amount, and what’s left that he still owes me … $4740.70. Ideally I could text or email him a receipt showing his remaining balance. That would be a great app, this isn’t it.
