  • Great but too short

This is a great game. My son loved playing and now points out quadrilaterals everywhere we go. He was really disappointed when it ended after only 3 levels. Hopefully the game will be expanded. Would be 5 stars if it hadn't ended so quickly.
  • Sneakily Educational Addictive Fun!

There are a lot of apps available that tout the “educational” label only to disappoint. The Land of Venn does not disappoint. Not only am I having fun with this game as an adult, but my kindergarten students are, as well. My students have only had the game for two days, and they’ve already created spin-off games to play during outdoor recess. “Let’s play Bookenriders,” two kids chatted on the way outside, “We can make a straight line.” I love it.

  • Penguinacious

This game is terrible, it is basically about shooting things, its a shooting things game dressed up as 'educational'. Its possible just to go through the levels shooting things without ever engaging with the so called educational aspect. Everything I want to avoid in an app. Of course the kids love it, because as they say themselves 'its not about learning, its all about shooting things'...from the mouths of babes.

  • AWESOME

This is a great game! It's really addicting. My thirteen year old daughter downloaded it and I decided to try it myself.
  • My just-turned-5 year old LOVES it, excellent geometry instruction

My 5y0m old son loves this app, he loves geometry so this was the first app I bought for him on our new iPad, and he has played it through many times. We even "play" Land of Venn in real life (he acts out being a point, or an open shape or a triangle...), and he knows all the names of the (very) wacky characters. Be warned, the characters are a bit outlandish, but they seem to appeal to the natural Kindergarten-level zaniness that kids have. I wouldn't have guessed it myself, but it's a hit. My son now knows and can specifically identify isoceles, equilateral and right-angle triangles along with the four sided quadrilaterals (rhombus, trapezoid, parallelogram, rectangle, square), so I'm impressed. More levels, please! And he wants books.

  • Great Classroom Activity!

We played this together as a whole group and took turns defeating levels. It was fun seeing the students give each other input and advice on how to advance. They voted over how the money should be spent in the shop and brainstormed which magic would work best on each level. Parents love this game too and were happy to put on their devices at home!
