Absolutely favourite recording app but like others has a black screen when trying to login now. If fixed I will give this five stars again, I used to use this daily to recordAhhtacy
Good at first, then deleted everything I’ve ever done. Negative stars if I could.
It was great at first but now. I have lost 2 years worth of music due to an app malfunction!!!! Everything that I’ve recorded got wiped clean. Nowhere to be found. And the last file I saved the sound cut out. I’m very upset. I worked extremely hard and still tried to keep using take after this happened the first time, since it was the first app with most control. But you guys really messed up this time. I wish I could give you negative stars. You just deleted my entire complete album. And I don’t even have baseline vocals. I don’t have lyrics. It was all in there. I’m finished recommending this app. I’m finished. This is the second time it’s happened years apart so I’m surprised you guys haven’t done anything to fix it. You just ruined my entry into my music career. Everything I did without remembering; your basically a note app, is gone. Harmonies are gone. Melodies. Gone. And you’re not even going to do/able to do anything about it. Worst experience EVER! Be careful with this app. Don’t expect it to work when you really need it.Show lessjabium
Seriously hate Allihoopa
I used to love them and this app. I wrote and recorded so many songs when they first partnered with propellerhead and collaborated with dozens of artists. It was brilliant and a place of pure, raw musical magic. I had so many tracks and remix’s on my
Profile but I NEVER received an email about the spilt between Ali and PH but they should’ve saved ALM the music that was uploaded to that site. I lost several albums worth of music and never had them backed up because I thought they were safe where they were. Now my musics lost forever and I really REALLY hate ali for that. App won’t import from Reason mobile app
I really like this app (and Reason Mobile)and I’ve always enjoyed using it - when I realised you could import your own beats made in Reason Compact I thought that would be fantastic but for some reason, import “error” message comes up on my iPad and iPhone & I cannot import a reason beat into the Take app.
No reply from Support which was a shame also. I get the feeling maybe this app is being neglected somewhat. .?
It would be fantastic if you guys could get this fixed because as far as I know this is the only app in the App Store that lets you comp vocals to your own beats on the go in such a simple way. It can be done in AUM but it is a bit fiddly and with the UI being black makes it difficult outside when you’re walking et cetera. please keep going with the take app as it is a brilliant too for mobile songwriting. :)Show lessPorlTR

And take is my favorite recording app on the App Store for 2 reasons
One
It’s Simple and easy
Easy to upload your own instrumental for new track
You just simply get the file from your iCloud
Then when done just save it to iCloud
Two
It’s free
Please don’t read this and start charging for more features LOL
BUT with that being said it’s crazy how much you can do with this app and it’s free
Other apps charge for a pro package for things like using your own instrumental that is on your phone
(with take I can use any instrumental I want from any site I want)
Please read my review and never give up on take it’s amazing and I would love to see more vocal bars but KEEP IT SIMPLE

I can’t get into the app the log in screen Won’t let me tap the “log in with your account” button, I does nothing when I press it. App is amazing, don’t give up on it
We all know about the stuff that happened with the shutting down of the mythic Alihoopa website (RIP) that singlehandedly destroyed the dreams of many aspiring artists including myself. That was a shame, it truly was, but it’s in the past.
Moving on to today, this app is still probably the easiest, most effective recording app on the entire App Store BUT there is so much potential to make it even better! We need more vocal tracks, more compatibility with software, more effects; basically, just keep adding stuff to the app and making it better. Aside from the Alihoopa incident that I mentioned earlier, I can almost guarantee you that 90% of the people who have used this app absolutely loved it. Don’t give up guys, please.
