5.3.2

May 8, 2024

We've added some logic to the registration and restoration paths so you know where the problem is if you are unable to activate your license. We also made a change so when a team gains the serve and decides not to have the libero serve in this rotation although the libero did serve there on the last rotation, the prediction is not repeated if the team wins the rally and continues their term of service.

Description of VolleyWrite

VolleyWrite is an easy-to-learn and easy-to-use improvement over paper scoring that gives your scorer total control at the scoring table. VolleyWrite supports standard 6 on a side volleyball games. Rule sets for NCAA, NFHS and USAV are provided, but they can be modified for your conference/league. VolleyWrite uses the rules to filter your input and alert you to anything illegal. It then gathers all the necessary information to fill out the score sheet in proper notation. VolleyWrite simplifies your input so you can keep up with the action on the court and enjoy the match at the same time. And with the Predictive Assistance feature turned on, you can enter substitutions and libero replacements with a single touch! VolleyWrite is a subscription-based app. Without a subscription, you can still look at matches that have been scored, but you are not able to score another match. Subscription extensions are available as in-app purchases in VolleyWrite. "VolleyWrite Season" has no in-app purchase capability. It is designed for schools which have managed Apple accounts. VolleyWrite supports all levels of play including instructional, club, high school and college. Score sheets, libero tracking sheets and reports can be printed or emailed.

Reviews of VolleyWrite

  • Best volleyball scorebook app available

I've been using this app for the past year and a half, and I love it! I'd give it 6 stars if I could. If you're a bookkeeper for volleyball matches, this is a must have. I have no problem with the $50 per season price because it is so worth it. I can track the game and libero at the same time at the scorers table. Plus it's so much faster than a paper book. Almost every official I've dealt with since I started using it has loved it too because it almost eliminates the chance for errors at the table. I say ignore the other low star reviews that knock it for the cost. A review should be based on the quality and ease of use of an app, not the cost. If you think it's too expensive then don't buy it, but if you wanted the best scorebook app out there, then make the purchase. You won't regret it.
  • Extortion At Its Finest

Honestly, I love the options that the VolleyWrite system offers. I can track rotations, keep score, and even track some stats. All of this is possible for me to keep, during a match, while I am coaching. Not the ideal situation, but it is possible. All of this warrants 4-5 stars. My complaint is that every season, I have to plop down another $50. $50 would pay for a multitude of score books, tracking sheets, and even allow me to pay a stat-keeper. I can understand the high cost, but make it a one time fee and I will gladly pay the fee... ONE TIME!!!
EDIT: Came back and changing my review from 2 stars to 1 because during the off season I noticed I was missing a jersey and couldn't place who it belonged to. I'll just log into VolleyWrite and check the lineup sheet from our last match several months ago. Wait, you mean I would have to renew my subscription just to check my previous score sheets? Are you kidding?
Such a great app to be killed by cost restrictions. I love how they claim it to be an "inexpensive app".
  • Very Expensive

Short review. This could be the killer VB scoring app. I used many this one is the best. BUT price keep it rating down. 2 dollars to download to use for a week. 4 to use additional week. 6 months pay 50 dollars. A year 90 dollars. Like the previous reviewer I would happily pay 50 to keep it permanantly not have to renew, renew, renew!
