Complementary Means Free
This is just one of many words I’ve noticed are incorrect or have a double meaning. Even the description clearly expresses the “wrong” answer. If “red wine is complementary with the beef” then I’d assume it comes with the beef. I don’t know anyone who would hear this word and not immediately assumed FREE. For example, “Valet at the hotel is complementary” does NOT mean “valet goes well with the hotel” it means it’s FREE. Either change the word or have multiple correct answers before I reinstall.Show lessAinsley11255
Love it
This is like me being in class and the teacher teaching but what I like is if you get it wrong it don’t stop until that word stick in your brain and you get it right over and over before it move on to the next so in love with this app teaching me allotafletcher68
Minor issues w/ the game
The app proclaims it is wanting the “Definitions” of the words given and that is an Over Generalization, & even utterly incorrect in many cases; the multiple choice options are SYNONYMS of the words in question, NOT a clear-cut “Definition” of any of them.
Another issue I have is there are many words given that have Multiple CORRECT Answers given in the multiple choices… for example, I was given ‘Variant’ — one choice was “to be Different” & another was “to be Unique”; to be Different is to be unique, and to be Unique is to be different. The app will only accept “Different” as to Correct answer, when they are BOTH clearly correct as they mean one in the same (as far as ‘Variant’ is concerned).
So…. Call it like it is & tell the masses using this app you want them to find SYNONYMS of the words, not outright “definitions”, as the multiple choice options Do NOT ACTUALLY iNcLuDe the specific, detailed definitions of Any of the words said app provides — MANY of which have *Multiple* CORRECT definitions. Interesting but some minor issues
This could definitely help to expand my vocabulary over the coming weeks. My main gripe with it is that at times there are words that are spelt the same but used and said differently appropriate being one example that came up very recently. If there was a sound saying the word or if a letter could be accented it could make it much easier to determine which one it wants the definition of. Appropriate was fairly simple given the choice of answers but other have confused me a little.
The other issue I have is very minor and may even be device specific, I’m using the iPhone 14Pro max and find that pressing the back button often doesn’t work. Lowing it a little or increasing the size could really help with navigation.Show lesscazash182
Learning Can Be Fun?!?! Who Knew!!!
This app makes it fun to test your knowledge and to learn new words. I don’t get it either, but there you go. You can play on your own, or challenge an opponent to a word game. This is the first vocab app which has kept my interest, and to which I have repeatedly returned for further engagement. I would highly recommend this app to anyone with an interest in enriching their vocabulary, without the threat of perishing from boredom for their efforts.Show lessMsKage

I used this many years ago and happened to stumble upon it again. It has been really useful to me and really help you learn with clear examples using the word. They also don’t push you to buy anything(I think the whole app is free yay!)
