  • Wow!

Thank you so much for the time and dedication put into this app. This app legitimately feels like a glimpse into the future of social studies education. The interface is so fluid that you can't help but want to scroll around, the sources are well-chosen and approachable, and the question prompts are guiding, but leave enough room for students to be open-ended.

Such an incredible resource for such an important historical topic. I look forward to any other topics/time periods that you choose to cover. Thank you again!

  • Immigration

Simply outstanding! What an amazing source of original documents, images, videos, newspaper articles, political cartoons, and so much more. Thank you so much!
  • Inspiring teaching resource!

This app inspired me to develop a new project for my eighth graders. Using the add to my collections feature, the kids will create a dossier of documents that they will then use to answer the document based question, also provided under "teaching immigration". The four square document synthesis tool is great, and they will use this before writing the dbq. I think as an extension the kids will turn the essays into documentaries which they will create on iMovie using the document collection from this app. Thanks!

  • Awesome!

I never wrote a review for an app before but this app is truly a great educational treasure trove. I teach 8th grade Social Studies and this app just made me re-vamp my immigration unit. Good job!!
  • Like a museum!

Fun and educational. Felt like I was traveling through history.
  • Excellent app

Great tool! Will use in my classroom. Wish it was available online too since I do not have enough iPads in my classroom.
  • An American without American schooling

Grew up in Africa and Asia and missed out on being taught American history in school....Immigration is a cornerstone and these sources paint a vivid and piercing picture. Enjoyed the app animations too.
  • Great resource

A wonderful resource for teachers, students and history buffs. It's amazing to have all of these primary documents literally at your fingertips.
