Would buy subscription but then realized it was 9.99$ a week. I am not spending that much for a couple features added. Definitely if it was 4.99$ but at that rate I would be paying for this more than I would to just golf in general

Great app, One suggestion

This is a fantastic app and has gotten much better with the new autostat feature. One problem I have with it that most players probably don’t realize.

TLDR;
Make it possible to get back into a round and use the GPS if you accidentally finish the round. Make it easier to change round settings.

My local course doesn’t have tee times. As a member, I don’t even have to tell them I’m playing a round, I just hit the range and then go to the tee box. I can also just start on the 10th. So I often don’t even know if I plan on playing 9 or 18. Here’s the problem: If I choose 18 and then later decide I only want to play 9, the app is finicky about changing that. Especially if I started on the 10th hole.

So, I started choosing 9 holes at the beginning of every round, since it’s easier to change from 9 to 18, rather than 18 to 9. But now when I finish the 9th, I accidentally click “finish round” and then there is no way to get back into the round. Even if I don’t fully submit the round, I can’t get back and use the gps. I can change it to 18 and then manually type in my scores, but still can’t use the gps. This is my biggest problem.

Awesome App, we play in Australia and other than course renovation’s the gps is spot on, the handicap discrepancy between 18 birdies and my GA handicap wouldn’t be more than 0.4 at anytime. I’ve played close to 200 rounds on 18 birdies on 30 courses in the greater Brisbane region. 👌

Easy to use

I’ve been pencilling paper scorecards for over 50 years. My son got me on to 18 Birdies as he uses it. Now I used it for the first time and it was great. If unsure of how to do things like edit or to complete a round use Google or similar to find out how. Great tool and resource. Well done. Saving me lots of money by not using pencils!!!

Please fix ASAP

The latest update has “swing detect” enabled and I cannot locate where to disable. Every swing (including practice swings) and every putt - there is a 2-3 seconds delay than a chime “ding ding” sound from my watch with the words “swing detect” appearing. Very annoying as the sounds appears just as I am about to hit the ball. It will do 2 chimes for each swing so if I have 2 practice swings beforehand,
after 2-3 seconds, a set of sounds appears, than repeats in 2-3 seconds again.

I tried muting the volume on my watch, uninstalling the app on my watch and phone, reboot and reinstall to no avail - problem still persist.

Please fix ASAP. I have loved using your app until now . Thanks.

Another aspect

Love this app! The ability to see each hole virtually and accurate yardages (on a screen) on a course you’ve never played before is game changing.

Great

I only have one negative about 18 Birdies which is on some courses the app isn’t up to date so occasionally you’ll find yourself in a bunker when you didn’t know it was there other than that it’s great. The distances are extremely accurate and I’ve tested them against my range finder. I can keep my stats up to date and I’ve now got a couple of friends that use it so we can keep an eye on how we are progressing.

Helped my game

Having my actual yardage hit by each club has helped me be more consistent. Having the swing analysis helps when I am having my off days to help point out where my errors are happening.
