I’ve been a volunteer and cohost at Radio Free Georgia since 2009 and know it’s a rare gem in media —a 50+ year old non-commercial indie radio station run by volunteers in Atlanta who care about justice causes and interesting music. The WRFG app helps me listen on the go from anywhere in the world. My friend melody and I cohost the animal rights and environmental programs at 6pm eastern time each Wednesday. Check us out!

The app is outdated but WRFG is the greatest app on my phone
The music, the spirit, the grooves, the critical thought that is produced on this radio stations shows is unmatched elsewhere, anywhere. And that’s even considering all the different places online that may be used to supplement one’s musical inclinations… the organic nature of WRFG and the talent that keeps it going makes it truly unique. So although the app is a bit counterintuitive I will gladly open it any time I need to experience a piece of WRFGs spirit and mission.
