I liked the game I had all of them on my phone which is quite old now but anyway it just doesn’t load in it just kicks me out every time i open it even if it is a new phone it just lags like you get in 5 seconds and it kicks you out and now I can’t play it because my phone is to old apparently and I’m really destroyed by that plz fix it so it is not so laggy in the future because it is a good game and I love it I also don’t not like the ads they always come up when you want a spare lawnmower or something it just really really annoying plz fix it this game could be sooooo much better 😭😭😭😭

What EA did to PvZ
This is ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS. Just for a few more dollars, they lower the maximum amount of lawnmowers you have at a time. From 6 halved to 3. The only way to get more is by watching ads. Really, the nerve of some people. PvZ is like a Golden Snitch. It’s just absolutely beautiful but they cut the wings off the Snitch. They also shove ads EVERYWHERE. Oh, leaving your Zen Garden? cOlOr bY nUmBeR ad. I’ve had to turn off my internet every single time. And I play games that need WiFi and forget. And so then I get a ad in my face. Just because this version is free. I’ve also heard that the HD version is worse.
To sum it up, I want EA to realize what they are doing to PvZ. Wake up.

More Ads, less lawnmowers
I don’t normally write reviews but this is something I see as nothing more than scummy if this isn’t a bug. As many PvZ players know, you always have five lawnmowers at the start of each level…until the last patch because for whatever reason, they decided: “Hey this game is too easy, so let’s limit their lawnmowers to just three and make them watch two ads just to get the five. I get it, it’s a very niece thing but here is what I think is not nice about EA when it comes to this game, which is the “remove ads” pack is a GIANT SCAM!!! For example, EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. YOU GO IN ZEN GARDEN, IT PLAYS AN AD!!! And I payed almost five bucks to remove them? Yeah, I want my ****ing money back. Also, I’m pretty sure that having to reenable the pack every time you load in the game just in case it isn’t enabled is actually frustrating. I would say go play PvZ 2, but that’s not even getting support anymore and the new plants they have are only in competitive. Yeah, this game is great but I would love a remaster worthy of my time rather than this broken, unapologetic letter to fans who wanted the original back on their phones. If I’m being honest, just buy it on Steam if you want the authentic PvZ experience not filled with Monetization and Ads.

Ads breaking the game
Having to go through ads is one thing, but when the audio shuts off after every ad, it’s just unplayable…
Game stopped working
All of a sudden I can only get 3 out 5 lawnmowers on any level. There are others posting on Reddit that they have the same problem. Ea needs to fix this. It is a scam because I paid for no ads and now I have to watch ads to get to 5 lawnmowers.
Terrible customer service!
So I’ve played this game for a couple of years and I was 1 achievement away from completing everything. Now literally my whole game has gone including the ad free pack I bought (which doesn’t seem to be on the latest version) my game centre account still shows all my achievements so I contacted help. 2 people cut me off, one said I need to go through help on the game and they couldn’t help me….that was exactly what I was doing. Someone else said to send screen shots so I did and now I can’t even view that case. I’m just going round in circles. It wouldn’t be as bad starting again if I could at the very least have my purchase restored because the game is unplayable with the ads. Such a shame. I can’t understand why my achievements and purchases aren’t loading when they are on my game centre account but EA just won’t support me. It’s a case of deal with it or delete it.

Honestly the best game ever.
Plants versus Zombies is nothing short of amazing! This game is so nostalgic and the mini games and adventure mode are just perfection. The Zen garden that you unlock near the end of adventure mode is incredibly relaxing and is so fun collecting all the different plants. Once you’ve beat the game, you should attempt to get all the various immersive and creative achievements. PvZ2 may have been a bit underwhelming, but this game is the best. Everyone should definitely download it. This is the greatest example of a 5 Star game. I love this so much. Greatest game ever.

Classic game, way too many ads
I grew up playing this game and I still love it. However the amount of ads is just ridiculous, literally after every level and they’re two-in-one. Is this really necessary? Especially for a game made in 2009? Money is needed, I get it, but is there seriously no other way to support developers without having the experience constantly interrupted? Also the audio constantly crackles and sound effects cut out when another one occurs at the same time. The latter isn’t the end of the world but the clicking and crackling gets pretty annoying quite quickly, especially with a soundtrack as iconic as this one. I do love this game and the nostalgia is worth it, it’s just disappointing that shameless advertising gets in the way.

Why Has This Happened?
It seems like nowadays nobody cares about the people or delivering a good product to the consumer. Things that used to be good (like this game) are kept going or revived simply because the legacy name-product is a cash cow for the company, yet they don't want to put in the work to make it live up to why it became a legacy name-product in the first place. These days, it seems like a company's main concern is figuring out how much of a low-quality product they can get away with selling so as to cut on costs but still profit off of consumers. I'm talking about the ridiculous amount of ads. An ad immediately before and after a game, an ad when you return to menu, etc.. it wouldn't even be as bad if it weren't for the fact that these ads require you to click on them multiple times, each time taking you to the app store, just so you can exit out of the app. And then to add insult to injury, often times a before-game ad will cause your game to run slowly, and so now you have to close and reopen the app, which then forces you to watch ads again. I don't see an option for a paid no ads-version. I'm guessing the company heads decided they'd make more money loading the game with ads than they would with a paid version. It's a shame to see this type of mentality.

A wonderful game from my childhood, but I do miss the old version
Plants vs zombies was a game from my childhood, I had 3 versions of this game, that being mobile, Xbox, and Nintendo DS, each version is amazing in their own way, but nothing can compare to the mobile and PC versions, especially the HD version, I thought that was the best version of the game for mobile. One thing I do really miss about this game is how it used to be, it didn’t have ads for every time I clicked on something, it had way more mini games than it does now, it didn’t have glitches to where sounds wouldn’t play because another sound played or music cutting off for no reason, usually that’s due to ads now, and adventure started from the level you were on or started over if you had already completed the game and didn’t have a level select screen. I really do miss that version of PvZ, if I had one wish, I’d wish for EA to bring back the old version and HD version. It is sad that this game is no longer the way that it was when I was a kid, but I still enjoy this game and consider it to be one of the best games of all time, keep on making good games Popcat and thank you for being part of my childhood.
