  • Seems cool but no NFTs from this app

The app seems ok, though it runs a LOT of ads, but the “NFT” part is non-existent as far as I can tell. Sure, you can make an NFT of a piece you make in this app but you can’t do it *in* this app. That’s pretty much the only reason I downloaded this app. So, fellow downloaders beware!
  • Great app!

So satisfied, it’s so easy to use and make little portraits of anything you see like shows/movies, games, people, objects, pets, and more! 10/10:)
    Great app!
  • Add more space

So I’m drawing every single nfl helmet but the thing is there is 32 teams in the nfl but there are only 30 I can make. I suggest that there should be no limit to it
  • Almost there!

I don’t mind the ads because they’re optional. It just exists for extra space for more projects, and it allows the creators to make a little more revenue.
No, I just have a couple issues with the handling.
It makes sense that you draw with one finger, adjust the screen with two. But it doesn’t work perfectly in practice. That could be solved by simply making a different button, one that switches between “draw mode” and “move mode”. I’m scared that I’ll end up making a big streak in the center of my work, and even though there’s an undo button, it’s not a nice feeling to have.
Also, I don’t know how to delete all the example art. Or any of the tests that I did when I first got this.
Again, other than that, it’s perfect!

  • The Real Pros and Cons after 3 Years of Using 8 Bit Painter

I’ve been using this application since 2019 to make draft retro characters on the go that I later animate in Aseprite on pc.

    Pros

    Simplicity
Anyone can pick up this app and start making Pixel Art and not get caught up in the pitfalls of canvas size or color palettes. They have a few of the most common canvas sizes that give you access to the ability to make a variety of varying detailed work. Their are no complicated UI or Tools to learn and no tutorial needed and for this I commend you!

    Cons

You will waste A LOT of time watching ads!
Literally the only benefit to purchasing their upgrade is 120 free canvas. (12 minutes off of total ads to fill canvases) Even if you upgrade you still have to watch a 30 second ad to add 5 canvases to a max of 480 at the moment, and you still have to watch an ad to export canvases. This means if you fill all your canvas your gonna spend over half an hour solving poorly design puzzles.

In my opinion this is how they earn the majority of their money so they are unlikely to bring future benefits to people who purchase the upgrade in the form of unlimited canvases, but pray to the gods of the dev team non the less.

I personally regret purchasing the upgrade because it literally provides almost no benefit. Because of this I cannot in good conscious get this app a five star rating yet…

  • Best budget-friendly ios app for pixel art

I’ve tried a handful of free pixel art apps on the App Store and this one is by far my favorite!!!! From what I can tell this is *not* an app for animating sprites, so if you’re looking for that this might not be for you. HOWEVER It has everything I personally need for simple artwork like grid and transparency settings, a custom color palette creator, a drawing tool that works great with Apple Pencil, and more!

Super easy to use with simple UI design- I liked it so much that I bought the add free version 😎

  • Just one issue

This app is very well made and easy to understand. I love everything about it so far. Only issue I’m facing is that it stopped exporting transparent PNGs. Not sure if it’s an app issue or just something to do with iPhone. Maybe dev can check on that.
  • Noice game :D

This game is all about creativity, and I like that. You can just get ideas then draw them as pixels, like they do when they make Minecraft mobs or blocks. 5 star game bbbooooiiii!!!
  • Great app

This was a great app, its just that I can’t import a photo. Otherwise, it’s great. Although it would be nice if you could create your own canvas size. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  • Messy Personal Color Pallete

Would be better if you could rearrange, edit, or delete the hues you personally selected. Right now you can only add colors, even if the selected color was a mistake.
