Love this app
The app is great. Ads if you want to use it for free, and a very reasonable one-time purchase of $4 to get rid of ads permanently and just have the app.
I never had one of the original V-Pets, so I can't personally confirm that this works exactly the same, but I can say that all guides I've looked up for using those V-Pets have applied to RetroMon!
A couple features I think would be cool (even though I know the V-Pets didn't have these):
1) Cancel Evolution. It's cool and all that the monsters turn into these awesome knights and warriors and what-not, but sometimes you just wanna keep taking care of a little monster
2) Shift sleep schedule. For some, this app can be a fun way to keep themselves on a responsible sleep schedule. But for others, their sleep schedule has to be different. I've been unable to use RetroMon for a while now because my schedule can't accommodate the monster's 10-8 sleep schedule. It would be cool if the monster's sleep schedule could be shifted over a little, so it's still 10 hours of sleep, but it sleeps and wakes up at different times to line up with whatever sleep schedule you may be stuck with.
Other than that, love the app. Well worth the $4 to just have it

Game is good. Far too many ads and problem with ad free purchase.
First, I want to say that this game is pretty good. My problem is that you get an ad after just about every action you take. I’m sorry, but that is unacceptable to me. I would advise making pop up ads less frequent. Please update the app to check if the account owns the ad free micro transaction on startup. There is no reason I should have to restore purchases every time I open the app. I originally gave this app 4 stars because it’s good. I cannot justify that after my $4 purchase for no ads, and I still get ads because I have to remember to restore purchases every time.

Brings me straight back to my childhood, nicely polished app. Highly recommend if you love digimon
Fantastic, but needs more
Fantastic application. Perfect nostalgia and really fun to play. Some suggestions for future update:
1) Storage for raised pets? I’m trying to collect all the final forms. Kind of a bummer I have to restart over and euthanize my current vpet.
2) Specific battle with friends? It’s inconvenient having to coordinate synced entry into the lobbies vs sending your friend a challenge or something. I also can’t find the barcode for local battle.
3) Battle music? Be cool to have background music in the lobby. I remember the traditional vpet had something when preparing to battle and when connected.
Otherwise, I’ve been enjoying this application and would suggest it to anyone looking for a digital version of the traditional vpets.

Great!
A great re-imaging of the original v-pets.
My only complaint is that: once you purchase the “remove ad” item (totally worth the money btw) you’ll need to restore that purchase pretty regularly, and it takes several presses for the game to recognize the button press. It has never been a problem but can be alarming the first time. This has become my favorite game to play on my phone.

Good game but it needs more options
I like this game it’s very nostalgic. but I wish I was more options like praising and scolding as well as a shop to buy things. more mini games etc. I also wish she had more control when it comes to battling online. but other than that was a pretty good virtual pet. not a big fan of the Pay to evolve your monster though.

Is there a lucemon line yet?
For starters,great app,nostalgia levels off the charts,but I do have a query is there a lucemon line? I’ve checked poyomons egg and all I see is Patamon,Funbeemon,and I’m not entirely sure what the third one is,by any chance is lucemon under a different egg group,or am I out of luck?
This is a fun game but it has some problems
Apparently my sister said you have to pay to get Agumon or gabumon which is fine but I just wish you didn’t have to pay to get Agumon or gabumon over all this is a genuine great game it’s really fun to battle people!!! (As in digimon battle in case you thought something else)
Highly inappropriate adverts
This app is for “Ages 4+” so I thought it would be ok to let a child use this app on my phone. Then adverts come on for erotic fiction and AI girlfriends who literally say “Come have virtual sex with me” during the advert. Tired to alert the app developer via their website and social media and got ignored. They are aware of the problem but refuse to change it

HUGE FAN
I haven’t had this much fun with a mobile game in a while. It’s just the right amount of care necessary without it feeling like it’s bugging you all the time. There are plenty of competitors and I love the amount of evolution lines. Great job admins and developers!
