Audio book ‘downloading’ issue
Maybe a problem with the Times subscription where Glose do not want to give unlimited access to audio books. Gone past the month the audiobook was issued under the Times subscription and now the book is stuck in downloading status.
Not an impressive showcase for Glose app as have now lost trust in the app and will not buy anything on it.

Why do you keep blocking my reading?
Why do you keep blocking my reading, I have increase my daily level but it keeps freezing!
I will chose when to read & when to stop, not you!

Book management
At least on iOS is poor. I only wanted to delete read books, seemingly impossible.
Disappointing Lock in to the Glose app
Really disappointed that my Times books are now "provided" through this useless service. Whilst some might (?), I dount anyone who reads a lot sits and reads on their mobile phone, tablet or PC, thats the whole point of eReaders with their e-Ink technology. This "service" cannot be read on either Kindle or Kobo (I have both) and forces you to use their app so that reading can be socalised - I don't care about that, I just want to read a book I have access to in a friendly format.

Am Going to Delete Glose
I have several apps which are used to read books I have selected. None of the are as exasperating to use as Glose.
I constantly experience: the annoying reminders to read; 3 clicks to get into my book instead of opening directly; never opens to the page where I stopped reading; sometimes opens to a blank page and won’t bring up the next page. I have to delete it and start the app again; when i finally get to the page, there’s a green progress bar of sone sort that has to be removed; sometimes skips pages, as many as 100 plus. I have more complaints but am tired of listing them.
As soon as I finish the book I’m reading, this poorly written app gets deleted. It’s not worth using.

Obnoxious, loses my place, lacks search in app version
I read a lot and one favorite publisher requires Glose to read books purchased directly from them. I am rating iPad version. This is a poor version of Nook or Kindle:
1. It loses my place if I use another app or turn tablet off.
2. It skips chapters. I may finish chapter 1 and the swipe to a new page suddenly is chapter 5. This happens more with books I reread.
3. It hides pages, very difficult to get to a given place, similar to problem #2, I can get to the beginning of a chapter but it won’t open the pages in that chapter.
4. The iPad version lacks a book search to find a given title. I can sort by title or author but I cannot search for a title. Have to scroll through the 500+ titles to get to the one I want. Per the Glose help desk, there is a search button, but I find it only on the full web version, not the app.
5. If I add a book to a shelf, e.g., a shelf for my favorites, I cannot get it off that shelf. I mistakenly put a couple titles under the wrong author and could add to the correct author but not remove from wrong one.
Disappointing and gets frustrating. Errors happen more often now than a year ago but I do not see any updates available. I like to buy directly from publishers when they have sales but I’m beginning to wonder whether saving a few bucks is worth the hassle.

Horrible app.
Doesn’t permit one to download ebook, either from the site or the app, as a locked pdf or epub. Apple, Kindle, Kobo have been doing this for decades.
Kindle need not worry
Can’t make the app turn the page.
False Advertising - NOT available Offline
I’m a huge audiobook fan and I’ve been an Audible member for many years. I downloaded Glose as The Times were giving free books away and this is the app they use. The book choices were good but sadly the app, not so much. Books aren’t available to listen to offline and as such every time I go to listen to a book, it has to start the download over again. This is tedious to say the least and no good if I want to listen when I have no signal for example whilst flying or driving in an area where reception is poor. I don’t understand why this is as it states books are available for offline listening when they aren’t. False advertising. Not an app I’d use if it wasn’t for the free book nor would I recommend anyone else use it.

Books not available offline
I downloaded, it so I thought, a book to read on an airplane journey. I was reading it on the outward journey only to find that my library was empty and my reading list was blank on the return journey. Now that I am back with data/wifi the book has reappeared. Although my current reading list says 0.
