Worth giving a try
After using ForeFlight for many years, it’s nice to have another EFB option. There is a learning curve with this one. I met the team at Oshkosh 2026. They explained and showed how everything worked. I stopped in numerous times with questions that were always answered. Matt has always returned any emails sent to him in an extremely timely manner. I’m looking forward to using this in the future. Thanks , Matt.

The Future of EFBs
This is the EFB ForeFlight and Garmin Pilot users dream about at night. Detailed and accurate weather with a 7 day forecast right on the map. Fuel prices that are actually accurate and up to date. Geo-referenced charts, profile view with fixed depicted in an easy to read view. Imagine getting the $400 tier features for a fraction of the price with an app that just works and has common sense navigation and features. Does Everything. Period.

Not for me
I was excited to try this when I learned about it at Oshkosh. I downloaded it and played with it on the first night and had multiple issues trying to get things to work. The next day I went back to the kiosk and talked to one of the sales guys there and they helped me through some of the problems I was having. But just making a flight plan is confusing. Attempting to search for restaurants and gas prices cluttered the screen to the point where things were on top of each other and unreadable. It’s not compatible with either of my 2 ADSB receivers. Also, it seems that the software requires a constant Internet connection to work. When flying in the airplane without an Internet connection, I couldn’t get anything to work at all. I had high hopes for this software. A lot of E FB software is difficult to use in the airplane, which is why I wrote my own. Hopefully they can clean this up and make it more user-friendly and easy to use while flying.

Disappointed
The “map” is truly spectacular and the weather overlays are even better…but it’s not intuitive on some of the most basic functions needed to be useful. Too much “programmer” and too little “pilot” in my opinion. I do hope they improve.
Better, but still not there
I previously wrote a review for 8 Flight version 1, v2 has fixed a lot of the issues that I’ve seen, but it just gives off this overwhelming belief that the entire thing was built by AI without a lot of testing, a lot of random glitches and bugs, I’ve found the fuel pricing and FBO fees to be either completely inaccurate or outdated more than I expected (probably 10-15% of the time, but the app touts 99.9% accuracy). Better than it was though, for sure.
