I use it mainly as a handy way to remember my favorite restaurants in the major cities I travel to.
Also, the “share” feature is an easy way to pass on my best-of lists to friends.

Not as good as it's rivals
This app is almost very good. Sadly it loses out to its rivals (such as Pindrop) due to functionality and stability issues.
There appears to be no way to add a brand new location other than typing in its address. A very clunky method when other apps allow you to drop a pin.
Also, when adding a location, the app frequently freezes and needs to be restarted.
Not bad but could be so much better.

Best trip planner
TripDoc has a beautiful interface and makes it easy to find places to go while traveling. Then on the trip the map makes it a snap to plan your day - perfect!

A great travel planner and guide. Easily add points of interest for any city before your trip and when on the road, use TripDoc so you don’t miss anything.
Great travel app
TripDoc is the best travel app I have found in the App Store for doing one simple thing: make a map of where I'm going and add POIs to it based on web searches or manual address entry. Then once I'm there, I can pull out TripDoc and see what's nearby that I wanted to check out. It sounds simple, but trying to accomplish the same thing in Google Maps is an exercise in frustration. I tried out several other travel apps (free and paid) and none of them measured up to TripDoc for simplicity and functionality.
I haven't had a chance to look at the new version much yet but at first glance it appears much more modern. I'm not sure a lot of new features have been added (which is perfectly fine with me; if it ain't broke, don't break it!). It seamlessly imported all my places from the old version though so I'm ready to go!
