  • My favorite app!

Love this app! I bought/upgraded to the Pro and really value it. Helps me stay organized and on top of my time. Terrific app! :)
  • Elegantly Simple

I’m impressed with how elegantly simple it is to use Now Then. It’s the best tool I’ve found for tracking where my time is spent. In fact, it’s the first time-tracking app that I haven’t given up on, largely due to its ease of use. And I love that I can see where my time goes in a given time period in a visual summary, and that I can save these charts outside of the app. I keep using it, and that speaks for itself.

  • Really helps with time management

I love this app, it helps me see when I go over time in my activities and track how much time I’ve spent doing each over the past couple weeks. I even emailed about a new feature to see the percentage of total day, week, and month hours in the chats section and got a response immediately that it would be added to the potential features list. I hope to see that one day. All in all I love it. It’s not tracking my time for me, it’s a tool I need to be diligent about using. I think that’s a good thing to help build discipline. Anything worth doing isn't always easy!

  • Runs 24 hours for weeks???

So this was left running unattended. Even when app was closed?? To run up 864 hours straight? Humans don’t sleep? Really guys? No prompts to alert me? Also now all my previous data is skewed... and I don’t see a way to delete that obvious chunk of mistaken time recorded... other than that it’s good. 😉

The Pro version offers reminders. Other than that, when you start an event running, we simply note the time it starts. The app then doesn't actually do anything until you next open it. So a timer will appear to be actively running when you're viewing the screens, but in reality nothing changes with that record in the internal database until you next edit it. You can tap on the currently running event on Now and choose an end date to finish it. For old events that are no longer running and that you wish to edit, go in to Then and tap on the event, then set the start/finish times to whatever suits. Check out our FAQ for this (there's a link in the Settings tab) as it has screenshots and might be more helpful than this comment.
  • Great idea that could be improved?

I love this apps approach to time tracking, although for me a big part of productivity apps is intuitiveness. If this app integrated the functionality into an iOS widget I would upgrade right now. As it stands, I’ll test it out for a little longer to see if I use it as much as I’d like to. Another thing would be to be able to sync with my Google Calendar. Keep it up guys!

  • Dissatisfied

Note: I used this app for personal use, not for business.

I switched from aTracker to this, and at first I liked this time tracking app better. It seemed easier to use. But after a few hours of using, I noticed a lot of limitations. The biggest one for me, if I try to block out time in advance but then I run a timer, whatever I have scheduled in the future is deleted. I know that this is a time tracking app, not an app to create a schedule for the day, but I want to be able to do both. I can kind of do both in aTracker.

Another thing I don’t like is in the chart section, when i see the pie chart view. The categories under the pie chart show time spent on each activity in terms of percentages, not hours and minutes. To see how many hours I spent on each activity, I have to click on the individual pie section. And some sections are too small to click.

Also, when viewing charts, I can view activity for the day, week and month (I think, it’s not really clear). But I can’t select a custom range.

I am going back to aTracker.

Support for future events is coming in the next version. There is a filter option that lets you pick a range of dates, though this filters *within* whatever period you're currently viewing data for. We agree that this isn't as intuitive as users expect, so we're looking at improving it. We take your other points on board - they're useful feedback - thanks!
  • Extremely helpful

Using this app to track hours for time sheets and check my productivity. It’s really handy, easy to use, and keeps me on top of my work!
  • Needs a little extra info in now

Would like to see time of task in “now” view.
Total time of that task. Current session and total today. Like ATracker.

I like the recursive aspect and sub tasks.
  • Very handy and easy

I use this to do an occasional month long review of my distribution of time. I try and compete it daily.
  • Great app

I'm currently using the free version and it's all I could want. Multiple projects, ease of use, and a easy to read chart so I can charge my time at the end of the day. Definitely a keeper!
