  • Very Handy Way to Enter Special Characters

It took me a while to get used to the organization for the characters but it sure comes in handy when you need to insert the odd character (e.g. the cent sign.)
  • Does not have subscript or superscript functionality

Does not have subscript or superscript functionality for users to write physics notations.

However, if you are after single superscript or subscript numbering, this app might be what you’re after.

The app developer also respects privacy based on their declaration which is a high plus for me.
  • Really Handy - Especially Fractions

The codes I really use are the ones to get the characters for fractions.

Thanks very much for this app & I apologize for the VERY TARDY review (I have been using this app for several years.)
  • Still use regularly

Simple, does the job, and allows me to purge Alt+codes from my brain. Also useful for quick access to some Kaomoji on iOS! \m/_(>_<)_\m/

Glad you have found the app so useful!
  • Include Switch for Windows Alt Codes

This app is half as useful as it could be, since it doesn’t include Windows alt codes. And what’s with the naming convention for alt codes for the Mac, anyway? I’m pretty sure that alt characters have always been accessed by using the Option key in combination with other keys. The Alt key is a PC construct. On a Mac keyboard, alt is placed in the upper left corner of the Option key, for the sake of users looking for an Alt key, since there are users that operate in both Windows and Macintosh environments. So all of the key combos listed here are incorrectly attributed to the wrong name for the key. Please correct this error. Next item: using too much space for each character. One item per line is very inefficient for the interface. Place as many characters on a single page as will fit, then display the alt codes as a pop-up when the character is pressed. Provide a header for the character type, and make it swipeable for types. Characters on the first page, swipe left for symbols page, and so on. Provide the ability to switch between Windows and Mac codes. With these changes, you will have a much more useful product that I’d pay money for.

  • Finally! A working solution!

I cannot thank this app designer enough! For years, I have limped along without the ability to enter the many and varied characters that I need. I use special characters in many of my passwords for increased security, but due to iOS limitations, I can’t actually type that password from my iPhone. With this app, I can finally login to my services! THANK YOU SO MUCH! The only suggestion I have is to allow the user to type in the corresponding alt code number to get the character they need instead of having to scroll through the entire list and find each character visually. Many characters look very similar (like 206, 207, and 239) and being able to just type the number when you know it would be much easier. It would also be nice if you could add in a place to type so that I can enter a word or words that contain special characters and then copy them all at once to the clipboard. These two features would make it much faster for people like me who know the alt numbers they need and also need to type several of them. As it is now, I have to find each character individually and visually, copy it, switch to my other app, paste the one char, switch back and then repeat the process for each remaining character. Any chance I could donate a certain amount to you that could make that happen? Don’t misunderstand; I’m not complaining! This is great!!!

  • Awesome

Just what I was looking for! Thank you!!!
  • The Only way to get Alt Codes!

This is great I don't see anything wrong with it. It would make it easier if these Alt codes could be put into a keyboard function like emojis. Great app though!
  • More

You need the heart symbols and flowers, also make a third party keyboard option so we don't have to keep copy and pasting. Please and thanks (✿◠‿◠)
  • Excellent MS Office Supplement

This is vastly preferable to searching through awkward menus in MS Office for uncommon characters and their corresponding keystrokes. Highly recommended.
