I’ve alway had a fondness for gravity games where you have to negotiate your ship around caverns whilst fighting against gravity. This game is well done, with 8-bit style graphics and sound and it plays very smoothly.
Gameplay’s pretty simple: you have to pick up crates at one location and deliver them to another. In addition to squeezing through tight spots, there are enemies, both fixed and moving, to avoid or zap.
I enjoyed playing the game, but ultimately I gave up as the levels get really tough. Your ship gets destroyed with a single hit, whilst your enemies take several hits. You just fire one shot at a time, so you’re constantly firing, twisting and thrusting to try and hit your targets. Some of the power-ups greatly boost your firepower, but if you make a mistake then you’re back to your pea shooter.
Initially the crates are on the ground and so easy to pick up, but then you start finding them on the ceiling or the walls (!), which makes them much more tricky.
There’s plenty of challenge here if you’re willing to put in the time and effort, but it was a bit too much for me.
