Hungry for more Scroodles? Good! Because this 'Stuffed' update is full of tasty treats for you to battle! We've added a new 'Stuffed' Challenge, 20 delicious new levels, and smoothed out some other areas of the game. Full details below: * New World: Battle new food-themed Scroodles in "The Wizard's Leftovers", a new world containing 20 hard levels! Who knew cupcakes could spell? Or that Blob could cook? * New Challenge: Test your word skills against seven waves of tasty Scroodles in the 'Stuffed' Challenge. The enemies and board powers are selected at random, so it is different every time you play! The challenges are located on the far left of the map screen. * Fixed a bug where powerups were sometimes not showing up correctly in the first world. * We've made it a bit easier to get stars in some levels in the Haunted Graveyard. * Sorry this update took a while. The next group of levels and challenges is coming soon. We promise! Stay tuned! Now a message from the overfed Wizard – " *BURP!* Oh excuse me! Did I just burp in your face? Sorry about that. Listen, you should probably skip this update. My new Scroodles are deliciously difficult. And that's not to mention the **BUUUURP!** new 'Stuffed' challenge. That means this update is for expert spellers only. Why not instead find one of those 'games' where you tap the screen and watch numbers go up? That's more your 'level' I think. He he he!" Good Luck!

Details from our Halloween update below: A Very Scary Update! We've added a new spooky Challenge Mode, 20 new terrifying levels, a frightening new playable character, and more! * Challenge Mode: Test your spelling skills against seven waves of scary Scroodles in the "Ghost House." We’ll be adding more challenges soon! * New World: Battle terrifying new Scroodles like Frankenpig, Pumpkin Bat, and more in the Haunted Graveyard. This world contains 20 tricky new levels! It also introduces a new board power: The 'Zero Letter'! * New Character: A new eraser is available for purchase in the store – Frankie the Franken-Eraser. He'll give you a better chance at getting Drain Powerups! * We've reduced the points needed to get three stars in some older levels. Beating Giga-Pinkers is hard enough as is! * We have more levels and challenges on the way. Stay tuned! Now a message from the always-helpful Wizard – "BOO! Did I just scare you? I bet I did. Listen don't bother with this update. The Haunted Graveyard is way too difficult for you, and you don't have a CHANCE of completing the new Ghost House challenge. It's impossible. Why not try an app more your style, like matching three pretty pictures, connecting dots, or watching a cat play with yarn? My Scroodle Frankenpig loves those games, and he doesn't have a brain either." Happy Halloween! Get Spelling!

This update contains important bug fixes and improvements to the stability of the player experience! Details on previous update below: We have a HUGE new update! We've added a NEW world with 20 levels, support for Game Center achievements, big improvements in our dictionary, and general refinements to everything from our audio levels to the difficulty! * We’ve added 20 new levels in the BRAND NEW Cloning Corp world! The Wizard is growing obsessive. He’s decided the only way to stop the magic erasers is to clone them! We promise we'll keep refining it. Thanks for the feedback everyone! * Scroodles now supports Game Center! We’ve added 10 achievements for you to conquer. This is just the start! We'll be adding even more cool stuff in the future. Please stay tuned. Now a message from the Wizard – “Listen Dummy, don’t download this update. Sure it has lots of cool new features and levels, but let's get real. We both know you’re not smart enough to take on my Scroodles. Why don’t you consider a game more suiting your intellect? Have you tried marbles? I hear it’s all the rage.” - Wiz Get spelling!

Description of Scroodles

Battle the "Scroodles" in this fresh, fast, and fun word game! Use eight random letter tiles to form a word each round. Then use the points from that word to fight the enemy drawings, called Scroodles. After you go, its the Scoodles' turn to spell! It may sound simple, but each of the 180+ levels offers a new twist to keep things challenging! Are you smarter than the Scroodles? ** FEATURES ** * FUN CHARACTERS - Control a lonely eraser in his quest to defeat a group of mischievous drawings. Watch as Scroodles are drawn to life at the start of each level, then create words to erase them! Every Scroodle is colorfully illustrated and animated with individual voices and character profiles! * SCROODLE STATS - Each Scroodle has unique stats for health, intelligence, and speed. Some Scroodles also cast ‘Word Spells’ requiring smart strategies to defeat. * POWER-UPS - Randomly generated power-ups add keep the action fresh and challenging. For example, can you find a way to use that 'P' in a word to freeze a Scroodle? * GAME BOARD MADNESS - Every level also has a different 'board' layout that can include board powers such as Double Word or Triple Letter. Can you use that high scoring 'Z' as the third letter in a word to take advantage of the Double Letter square? * COMPETE WITH FRIENDS - See how you measure up against your Facebook friends with level-based leaderboards! Now a note from the Wizard: "Hey Dummy, bad guy here dropping you a quick note. Someone with your IQ should really spend their time mindlessly popping bubbles or swapping candy blocks. Don't bother with this game, my Scroodles are too intelligent. Keep on swiping. Bye." Wow, rude! So, are you up for the challenge? Ready, Set, Spell!

  • Great strategy & replayability; weird scoring, stifling monetization

I got back into this game recently and have had a blast! Getting 3 stars for all 200 levels is a real challenge, and there’s as much replayability as there are words in the dictionary. The enemies and tile modifiers are well designed, and presented in interesting combinations, requiring strategy to beat.

I do find the scoring unorthodox. You can earn zero stars, yet still win the round. The game seems to allow any word, which is nice for the player, but it means the AI can use some questionable words, too (ex. “labia”, “poo”, “gay”). So consider that before you let kids play.

Lastly, the monetization really slows you down. You get 3 lives, so if you want to play longer than 6 minutes or so, you’d better be really good, or make an in-app purchase. The game randomly chooses to offer you ads for coins, but not often enough to sustain a longer play session. I’m very reluctant to make IAPs, so personally I’d be willing to watch more ads if it meant I could play the game more.

  • Challenging Game

Would be great to have some explanations and more information on how to play the game most effectively.
  • Brain teaser

Great way to get the adrenaline flowing on a word game of all things.
