everything works perfectly
stellar app and interface. does what it advertises perfectly a d the team is always working to patch things up immediately when needed.
Flawless performance, but in-app purchases of additional languages requires full access
I purchased the English language add-in because I wasn’t aware that it’s activation required giving full access to the keyboard, which is prohibited by my employer. Subsequently I did purchase the stand-alone English version (that is not subject to this security risk), so effectively I have paid twice for the same function. Therefore, I respectfully request the refund of the ‘dangerous’ in-app purchase. Many thanks in advance.
I’m giving 5 stars because both the Japanese and the English stand-alone apps perform flawlessly with an amazing level of recognition even of sloppy handwriting.

Indispensable
I waited years for a Japanese handwriting input app this functional. Recognizes English handwriting pretty well too.
Bug with Apple Watch and multiple languages
This app is very good at what it does, but it presents a bug when used with the Apple Watch. If your watch is in one language (such as English) and you try to dictate a message in another language (such as Japanese) on your watch, the watch incorrectly interprets your speech in English. This happens despite the fact that the last message you wrote using this app to the same contact on your iPhone was in Japanese.
Normally, the watch interprets speech in the language of the last used keyboard for a specific contact in Apple's Message app. Therefore, in order to get the Apple Watch to interpret your speech in the correct language again, you must go back to your iPhone and select the standard Apple keyboard for the contact in the Message app. This is very inconvenient.
This is the only reason I rate this app with only three stars. If you don't have an Apple Watch, then this app is great.

Quite good
Good: handles a large character set and the recognition is good. Bad: there is no way to select a character that is not in the list it shows. There is no way to fix incorrect character segmentation. The return key does not register in Javascript web apps.
Need English keyboard
It said that it supports English and Japanese. But I only get Japanese. I paid a lot of money for this app and disappointed. How to select English keyboard? Has great potential but need this fixed first to give more stars.
Very nice.
This is very useful for looking up kanji in dictionaries that do not have built in handwriting recognition.
Now usable without granting full access.
Version 1.0.2 makes this a much improved app for security-minded users. It's now usable on devices where granting full access would be a problem (such as my iPhone).
Basic handwritten recognition is great, and very much better than Apple's traditional Chinese keyboard. Granting full access allows personalisation and registration of handwritten chracters.
Still some compatibility issues with some apps.
