Wow, what an epic race! The 2017-18 edition is done and dusted, the celebrations (hangovers) a distant memory, the boats packed away - and we're already counting down the days until the next race!
The old version of the app has been retired and will no longer show new information but we’ve refreshed this latest version so you can still keep up-to-date with race news, events and activities as we prepare for the next edition in 2021.

We update the app regularly with new features, improvements in stability and performance and squashing those annoying bugs. Bugs flattened in this release include :
- position reports now in your timezone
- video functions behaving themselves
- notification preferences saved as you want them
We've also tidied up sharing options for the RAW section.

Description of The Ocean Race
Since 1973, The Ocean Race has provided the ultimate test of a team and a human adventure like no other. For nearly 50 years, it has kept an almost mythical hold over some of the greatest sailors and been the proving ground for the legends of our sport.
The 14th edition of The Ocean Race will be raced in two classes: the foiling IMOCA and the one-design VO65. It will start from Alicante, Spain on 15 January 2023, finishing in Genova, Italy early in the summer of 2023.
The race will visit nine iconic cities around the globe over a six-month period and will feature a leg with the longest racing distance in the 50-year history of the event - a 12,750 nautical mile, one-month marathon from Cape Town to Itajaí.
