Might just be the most buggy app I have ever encountered
Doesn’t work 80% of the time. It’s lucky to even find my recorder. Usually can’t copy a file over without freezing part way through. Manages to freeze my dr-22 so I can’t even power it off I have to pull the batteries out. The app ALWAYS freezes. I would give it negative stars if I could.
Flakey app
This app is very poorly designed and buggy. It’s a shame as all the ingredients are there, they just need debugging and polishing. Please sort it out Tascam

Update In Need!
It doesn’t work on iPhone 11 with DR-44WL.
Very poor effort.
This app is a typical example of minimum requirement. Almost zero effort went into designing the UI. But it does seem to work once you get it to connect. Freezes when attempting to share audio from ios. Come on Tascam you can do better than this surely?

Why did I update my Tascam for Wi-fi when the app is useless? What a waste.
Works once firmware installed
Struggled with the app at first since I wasn’t aware there were firmware updates for my DR-44WL. Once you install the firmware, the app is able to find the device and function how it’s supposed to. Also, helpful and responsive customer support!
Firmware Update
If you find you can no longer connect to your device connect your smartphone to a router, download the firmware. Disconnect and reconnect to your recording device own Wi-Fi and update the firmware via the system option... this will fix it, full guidance is available from the Tascam website
Iphone 11 Pro is now a go!!
You have to manually update the device via a laptop. The phone app to device don’t work.
Used my Macbook Pro, usb cable to DR-22WL did the firmware transfer procedure they outlined in the instructions .PDF.
It updated with a hitch, an App so far is working. If anything changes I’ll update my review!
