Avoid the contact sensors
Purchased a contact sensor, stopped working after a few weeks. Tried all sorts - resetting, new battery, restarting my Apple TV 4K’s (acting as thread border router), restarted iPhone and iPad, still unable to get it working again. So, so frustrating. Support non-existent, numerous other bad reviews with the same issues about the product. Unfortunately past the return window for this one so it’s going in the bin. The other 12 that I’ve purchased (and also a motion sensor) are however being returned as I simple cannot trust this brand with my home security.

Poor interface
I don’t buy Apple and HomeKit accessories for such a poor experience. The water timer functions well enough, and connectivity is superior to my other watering timers. However, the app is a disaster. And although Euro data protection standards suggest I should have less to fear, it’s always disconcerting when a specific device app identifies all the other rooms and devices and schedules on my network — I never asked for their invasive and redundant level of control. I can’t recommend the Eve watering timer because of the poor app, despite decent hardware, and I won’t soon consider other Eve products.
Update: The water timer has since broken at the collar, so that has become just another piece of e-waste. Meanwhile, we bought two Eve outlets/plugs, and they are impossible to mount, unlike the trusty Wemo plugs. Of my 23 HomeKit devices currently active, now only one is an Eve, and it’s the most finicky and least reliable. Their stuff is junk.

App needs UserTesting
The app *was great* but subsequent updates have severely limited the functionality & features.
We have invested a lot in these devices & are feeling quite burnt about it.
This needs attention.

Unstable Connectivity & Outdated App: A Total Nightmare
I wish I could give this Eve light and App zero stars. It’s aesthetically nice, but that’s where the positives end. The connectivity to Apple's Home app is horrendous. It’s nearly impossible to connect and, on the rare occasion it does connect, it will disconnect within minutes for no reason. I’ve tried resetting it multiple times, updating my phone, reinstalling the app—nothing works. The constant need to reconnect it has made this light more of a headache than a convenience. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this product at all costs if you value stability and functionality. Total disappointment! To make matters worse, their dedicated app ‘Eve’ feels like something out of the 90’s—outdated, clunky, and completely unresponsive. It crashes constantly and barely offers any useful features. Save yourself the headache and avoid this product and their app altogether!

App is not reliable after update. Location sharing.
This app has privacy issue.
I have used the build-in scheduler to turn on aqua at specific time so without relying on the HomeKit.
However, Eve aqua has stopped communicate after the app auto-updated to the latest version. App now needs your location to be shared with the app so you can change the scheduler.
I see no need for my location to be shared just to modify the timer of the sprinkler.

Unacceptable failures with Matter
The Matter upgrades are a disgrace and falsely advertise to improve the product. Eve refuses to admit to the colossal failure the Matter system upgrades for Eve Motion Blinds are. The app has no indication that this will brick products.
I now Have 12 EVE Items
Well I’ve tried quite a few makes and honestly consider Meross to use with HomeKit. I brought 2 eve cameras and now buy EUFY as they do not keep dropping out and better quality! And a third cost! In short, EVE are good but overpriced massively £200 for 1 outside camera! Really? And the software is real good but needs work …. Will not be buying EVE going forward as Meross better in use but not software…Regards

Pretty good, could be better
I wish that the sunrise/sunset schedule had a random feature so that lights could be turned on or off: +\- 10, 15, or 30 minutes.
Also as a software developer I wish the workflow was more intuitive. I find that I have to hunt around to find features.

Doesn’t update temp very quickly
This app seems to be gaining some bugs that weren’t there before. It takes a very long time to update temp graphs now, sometimes getting stuck for a while before it updates properly.
Does What it Should
The app works well on all our iOS devices. The only criticism is that it somewhat replicates the HomeKit app, making one of them redundant.
