Best Lnu app

Helps so much for real, created by real Mi'kmaq communities. Of course it is difficult to have an app that has all the phrases (there is the mikmaq help dictionary you can find on google/safari with plenty of other more advanced phrases) but for what it’s worth, I use this app on the daily and it definitely helps me out as a native person trying to learn more of my language. Its also perfect for all ages!

I am not a Mi’kmaq speaker but I would love to learn, and I think that this is a great place for beginners like me!

Love it

I love this app I use it a lot because my family no longer can speak the language and I really want to learn I hope I get to see more phrases come out😊

I really like this app but my only wish is that there was more phrases you could learn otherwise LOVE!!!

Don’t get me wrong i love this app but there could be way more vocabulary instead of ones everyone already knows that we’ve been taught since we started school. With the amount of resources we have to the language such as elders,parents, grandparents, and even the people who made this app there should be WAY more to the vocabulary more so even the people who speak mikmaw daily could learn too if we had access to more advanced words and conversational mikmaw ya know idk just my opinion. it would be nice and if they put more effort into it and constantly updated it. We need more speakers if this is what people turn to to learn it’s sad.

Thanks for sharing your review of L’nui’suti. Everyone is at different levels of language learning and may not know the words that you think “everyone already knows.” Just as there are many resources, this is just another tool. It’s meant to serve as a starting point for Mi’kmaw language learners. For advanced learners, we encourage people to use the language daily and the other resources such as the ones you’ve listed: Elders, Parents and Grandparents who speak the language. Many of our people are not so privileged to have such resources readily available. No one language resource could serve as the ultimate resource for all language learners. Thanks for using our app; a lot of people have put a lot of effort into creating it. We wish you the best of luck on your language learning journey.

Amazing introduction to the language

This app is outstanding! It provides all of the basics and a significant vocabulary of terms. There are only two things that I think could enhance it: at some point, it would be great to add contextual terms such as the Mi'kmaq words for different territory; and to add advanced functionality by setting up a learning system like the Babble app does for other languages. That would make it perfect, although I also realize the desire to keep this app free and the immense development costs associated with what's been done to date. All in all a great app!
