HERO One User Reviews

Neither mind.

I want my money back! The keyboard kept turning itself on and off for no reason and was a large input delay which made the keyboard unusable.

Developer super-responsive!

The HERO model is the way to go for the "one-thumber". I've
changed my rating to four stars, and I anticipate even more progress and features from the developer.

Not a swipe like it appears

This keyboard is not a swipe as it appears from screen shots which is to bad as it may have potential.

I HAVE GREAT IDEAS DEVELOPERS

1: Let us edit the "most frequent letter" layout to make it more personal
2: Make the swipe function more like SwiftKey, I don't want to hit every letter when I swipe across the keyboard
3: More colours
4: The deadzones for the keys are annoynig
5: Add a predictive word bar like on apples normal keyboad, it would help soooooo much
6: Add Auto Correct

Other than those things this app is great and new and a brain workout getting used to it, but I love it!

Loving It

Easy to learn and intuitive to use. Iโ€™d like the apostrophe on the ABC screen, tho; so my ratingโ€™s just short of 5 stars. Also, my accuracyโ€™s improved.

Doesn't always register what I press

This keyboard doesn't always register my button presses, the idea is great but needs refinement as I have to write words two or three times sometimes for it to get the letters I'm pressing, it always means it's slower for me to type on

Potential

Good idea but doesn't look quite so good on a 6 plus as it stretches letters, there are also some bugs meaning it doesn't always load and the enter key on the number section types a letter B and the dragging between is unusable. Please fix as I would love to see the full potential!

Good, but needs work.

Lacks an autocorrect system, suggested words, letter locations are very different and will take some getting used to, but I can see it being useful long-term. Just needs autocorrect and preferably some sort of indication as to which letter we are pressing. Not everyone can see through their fingers. Also, an auto capital letter at the start of a sentence is fairly common practice but is lacking here. Basically, good concept, not worth sacrificing all these features for yet though.

Brilliant design

When I first downloaded HERO, it was a bit intimidating with the completely different button layout. But as I use it more, you get more comfortable using it with more and more reps. The thing is with the most common keys in the middle, that's where your thumbs stay, so it feels more efficient. And I'm sure with enough practice, I'll be a lot faster than the QWERTY a too.

Needs Improvement

It looks like a great idea but it needs lots of work. For instance, I'm not typing this review with the Hero. It will not show the text boxes to type in if I select that keyboard regardless of access settings. There is no feedback programmed in to let you know that a key was pressed or what key was pressed. The settings page is completely blank. Worth $0.99? Not in its current state.
